LOVE the new Rip IT from 900 Global. Aggressive pearl ball, big time!  Drilled it 5 x 4 pin up.  Left surface OOB and was super surprised with performance of the ball on medium/medium heavy conditions.  Has fairly good midlane and a super aggressive backend.  Good carry, shot 736 OOB.  NICE ball for playing in when pattern breaks.  Gave me a ton of room to miss right.  Saw some squirt on heavy oil/carrydown but when I squared up I could get it to the pocket and be effective carry-wise.  Definitely a ball that has many uses.  I LOVE symmetric balls and this one is a gem considering the cheap price tag!  Cool looking too.  Great job 900 Global!  I can see this being a USBC Doubles & Singles champ!

Likes: Skid/Snap Reaction, Hit/Carry.
The Rip-It utilizes the hula core from the AMF OMG Pearl and Black Mamba. Not having thrown either of these balls, I wasn't sure what to expect. I drilled this as an experiment for a skid/snap type reaction. After about 7 shots on a THS, I started to see what 900 Global was intending this ball to be. This ball gives great length and a strong, snappy backend move. Where the King Cobra or Black Eagle left off, I needed to move a few boards right and I was back on line. I could get deeper as the shot dictated and still had great backend movement and pin carry. On the 2013 USBC Natl's shot, I was forced more to the right, but once there was some dry to the right created, I could move deeper with my feet. If you are getting an early mid-lane read with your aggressive ball, don't hesitate, pull out the Rip-It for more length and a great move off the dry. This ball will not be the first ball out of your bag, but will compliment the King Cobra or Sure Thing very well. It definitely fills the gap between the Black Eagle/Wisdom/Jewel and the Hook line.

BALL REACTION

Length: Super Clean through the front part of the lane, probably one of the best balls I've thrown in the 900 G line that clears the heads very well.

Back End: This is the closest they've come in creating a reaction down lane similar to the BreakPoint Pearl.  The reaction is still not as aggressive as I've seen in the BPP but its very close.

Overall Hook: Because the ball gets so clean through the front, when it encounters friction and depending on your layout, it will certainly make a very strong overall break to the pocket.

Midlane Read: It all depends on the lane surface and where the ball encounters friction.  Clearly this is not going to be something you use where you need a ball to slow down in the midlane.  The Cover/Core combination really allows the bowler to clear the fronts and mids with ease you just have to be careful not to get it to the friction too soon or its beak central.

Breakpoint Shape: Almost hockey stick like on the backend but like I mentioned before, a little tamer than the BPP.


COMMENTS

Likes: The ball serves its purpose in the 900G lineup and that is for getting left and throwing it right and watching it peel off the dry and into the pocket with energy.

Dislikes: None, you can only dislike this ball if you are throwing it when you should be throwing something else.  If the ball needs to read the mids, then this isn't the ball for you.

Likes:I drilled my Rip-IT pin  Slightly above fingers. I used this ball on wet-dry house shot. The ball is really clean thru the heads with a medium backend reaction depending on the amount of friction you wanted the play. Very strong in dry so I moved in and played 15-18 to smooth out the reaction with Great results. First night of league 266-247-233= 746. On sport pattern I had to right because this ball does need to have friction to react strong. Overall great ball for drier conditions and house shots. light to med.oil. Still a great league ball. Thanks 900 global for another great bowling ball.

This ball has length…lots of it.  The medium/light patterns are where this ball shines.  When the patterns break down and are severely tracked this is the go to ball and it will make the corner if you miss inside.  This ball will also get into the track and make that turn with ease and no worries about the Rip It over reacting on the dry!  Our house shot is a little too long but I have been to use it in other houses and lit it up with the extra friction to the right.  This ball gets a seat in the traveling bag!

I was waiting for this ball to start jumping off the dry but amazingly...It's not skid flip just smooth strong arc.
