First of all I would like to thank the guys at 900 Global for sending me this ball. If you are looking for a ball for usbc's, look no further. If you liked the Break Out, you will like this ball also. Pretty much an identical ball. What makes this ball unique is it's cover to core combination. It is the type of ball that on the more difficult patterns, usbc, masters, blue pattern, matches up really well on. If you get it in a little bit, the ball will stand up and still catch high pocket. If you miss a little right, it still has enough to get back and catch the pocket. Bottom line=This is a ball that will allow you to throw more balls in the pocket on these more difficult patterns. Thus giving you the opportunity to strike more. I have bowled the usbc tournament now for twenty three years, I have a lifetime 205 average in the tournament. And quite honestly I am very hard pressed to find a better ball that actually allows me to bowl on this pattern. I am currently bowling on usbc pattern in our sport league and I only missed pocket five times that night. I have layed this one out with my pin above ring, my cg in middle of grip and mass bias about an inch to the left of my thumb. This layout tightens up my flare even more. I am right handed and a tweener. My pap is 5 15/16 x 5/16 up. If you are thinking about one ball for USBC. This is it!

Likes:I set my ball up to be smooth and early to compliment my raw profit which is does phenomenally. I have the original breakout which is still in my arsenal and is pin up and is very angular so if your looking for an angualar ball the eagle will do that to. I love my eagle, I can currently use it on almost anything im on.


Dislikes: It is tough to sell this ball in the shop somewhat due to color because alot of bowling is unfortunately based off that even though this ball reacts amazing. Other then the boring color scheme this ball is amazing.

Likes: Very forgiving. Strong in the pocket.  The Eagle holds the line if you tug it inside and will recover from the dry outside with the strength to kick the corners.  This ball is angular to the pocket so it gets me through the heads and down the lane and still has the energy when it goes through the pins.  Handles the carry down like a champ I just moved a board or so right and watch the Eagle fly back into the pocket.  When I started to wear a track the move was no more than a board or two left. The bright color makes it fun to watch rolling down the lane.  The Eagle is definitely a versatile ball to have in the bag.

Dislikes: I only have one!!!

I absolutely LOVE my Eagle! The first time I actually used the bowling ball, I was competing in a mixed doubles tournament (on a modified house shot) and shot 300 with it and used it for almost all of the nine game qualifying block. Never throwing the ball before, I underestimated the backend potential in practice and was happily surprised to see that the ball really started rolling up in the midlane and than continued with a big backend motion. I couldn't use the ball at first because the backend was too much, but it was perfect for when the oil pushed down the lane a little and all of my other balls started going too long.

 

This ball is perfect for oily-medium house conditions or oily-medium sport shot/tougher patterns because of it's strong yet controllable backend motion.

Just drilled up this ball this past week and headed to the Regional in Vegas on Viper pattern.  Threw it for the first time in practice session and was amazed at how hard this ball reads the back end friction.  When the ball got to the spot and went left.  It is going left!.    Being a short pattern I was unable to use it early. But knew late in the block this was going to be the ball the last few games.  I used a favorite for the first 6 out of the 9 games.  The field played the lanes a little further in that typically on viper which caused a big hole in the pattern around 8,9,10 board.  The last 3 games The Eagle allowed me to get left and really create a lot of down lane area knowing this ball was going to make the corner without any doubt.   I put some light polish on it which helped it clear the fronts easy. And this is a very aggressive ball for me.  I havent seen this kind of motion in the backend with a ball since the original Back widow when polished.  This is going to be a winner for 900 Global once again following the success of the Break Out.  Look forward to a great summer of Regionals on the longer patterns and lookout brackets at nationals.   Thanks to Eric Thomas and Mike Haugen for all the help with the ball.  Definitely fills a void I have had in my bag for a while.

Likes: Ball reads the lanes, doesn't over react and carries all angles into the pocket.  Smooth is the word that comes to mind more often. Ball is 15# with a 3" pin. Drilled it pin under and the CG kicked out a little. The MB wasn't in line with the pin and CG but by kicking the CG out about 45* the MB ended up to the right of the thumb hole. I couldn't be happier with the ball. Shot 300 out of the box first night of the summer league after drilling it out. Only one practice game prior to the league. In 9 weeks of league I have used this ball 95% of all three games except one night when the lane machine didn't put any oil out on our pair. Too much back end and no control up front. For the other 8 weeks I've had 7-700's with a high of 784, 1-300, 3-279's. I've averaged 231 and if you drop the set where I couldn't use the Eagle it would be 239-240 for 8 weeks of bowling. My highest winter league average has been 219 so this ball has added a few pins to the total.  I have a 2nd Eagle waiting to be drilled pin over to have another look  when the conditions break down. I have had several other 900g balls and this is the best by far. Wish I had the ball before I went to Reno but it will be in the bag for Baton Rouge next spring.
