When this ball first arrived at the shop, I wasnt sure what it was supposed to do. As I do with all of my staff balls, I always put my favorite layout on it, Pin above the fingers, CG middle of my palm, Mass Bias to the Left of my thumb about a half inch. (im left handed)

This ball for me is really, really strong! It surprised me how strong this ball was compared to the orginal Profit. For me, this ball is very strong midlane with a strong and continous backend motion. This ball virtually hooked from anywhere on the lane! It was not as early as my Bank, but definitely out hooked the Bank on the backend part of the lane. I was bowling on a typical house shot on Brunswick Anvilane and I also threw it at a Center that had older Brunswick synthetics.

All and all, this ball is an absolute winner from 900 Global! Very strong, very continous backend motion and strikes alot!

LOVE IT!! I had my Raw Profit drilled with a 45x4.5x45 dual angle layout.  The ball gets into a smooth early roll and doesn't stop! This is a highly aggressive ball that is a great compliment to the original Profit. I have used this ball on both synthetic and wood surfaces and it preforms beautifully on both. From the first shot in practice I knew this ball was a winner!

I drilled this gem up 5 ¼ x 5 and man did it look sharp! The orange and purple color scheme really pops! I drilled this ball to hopefully compliment my Break Out with something similar, but stronger off the spot and I couldn’t be any happier with the results.

I first tested this ball on a typical house shot on beat up HPL’s. Also since the house I bowl league at allows open bowling all day before league basically I was able to test this on two patterns at once since one lane was pretty beat up and hooking quite a bit with some carry down before we started. The other lane had some carry down as well but was at least an arrow tighter. This was going to be a good test for this ball.

I was constantly surprised all night how this ball could get back from anywhere, through any amount of carrydown. It was fun to throw and gave me a good look on something I usually struggle with at this house.

I was also able to give this ball a good workout on the 2010 USBC Open pattern on a new Pro Anvil lane surface as well. Here is where I was able to compare this to the rest of my arsenal. On this pattern the Raw Profit was about 2-1 stronger then my Break Out drilled about the same at 1000 Abralon. The difference in the two balls though was entirely how they behaved off of the friction. The Raw Profit reacted much faster to the dry and was much more angular down lane then the Break Out.

I also threw this against my Bank and it was about 3-2 weaker, but with the Bank being more rolly in the midlane, and then strong and continuous, where the Raw Profit was clean through the midlane, and then very strong off the spot.

All in all this compliments the Bank and Break Out perfectly and I can’t wait to get some more games on this thing!

Here is the link to a shot of the Raw Profit.

It's only one shot but it gives you a look. I hope to have a longer and more detailed video up after I can get some more video shot.

Likes:  The Raw Profit is RAW hook!  Lots of ball here.  Drilled it up 5 x 5 pin up box finish, favorite layout to get in and grind on it for my style (PAP 4 9/16).  For you Black Break lovers that wanted a touch more ball for oil this is it!  Revs up and flips hard even in box finish state which seems duller than 4000 abralon.  Carry is very good especially for a ball that forces me into deeper lines and heavier oil it shows no signs skid-out.  Needs oil but performance is so good on heavier patterns!  Route 66 45ft of oil, OOB finish the ball was a monster!  Consistently had more room than most and scores showed it.  I imagine that with a little surface prep and polish I could use it on more conditions but this is such a great oil ball for me at 4000 abralon and my 15-16mph speed.  It is easily 10 total more boards of overall hook than my Profit.  If your looking for hook and backend from 900 Global this is your ball of choice...

Dislikes: Not having another one polished!

The Raw Profit is a great ball for heavy oil! Out of the box, it is very strong and rolls up really early continuing with a BIG backend! With the out of the box finish, this is a great ball for people that have A LOT of speed, lower rev rates or people who are having trouble getting their ball to read on oily conditions.

However, if you take some of the surface off of this ball, it calms down the overall reaction a little and will get the ball further down the lane, but still maintaining a pretty big backend motion. With this surface, you can use the ball on oily-medium lane conditions.

I've used this ball on house shots and on PBA/tougher patterns. On house shots, I've had more success taking the surface off of the bowling ball, but on heavier volumes of oil, such as the Tournament of Champions pattern or Shark, I've had success keeping the ball dull.

Overall a great ball which can create a few different looks, just by adjusting the surface.

Likes: 900 global was absolutely genious for developing a solid cover for the profit core. I felt that the core in the original profit showed more roll and putting it with the s70 cover makes this ball a must have for oil or a bowler looking for that extra power. I put a stronger layout on this ball and boy was i surprised at the hook potential this weapon provides. Im a higher rev player so i dont see much play on my house patterns but it is a phenomenol ball for opening the lanes up or working on a fresh sport pattern. This ball is great for the bowler with low revs looking for a strong ball at a good price.

Dislikes: Obviously the only dislike that can be given from this is its tendency to roll out when the oil disapears but thats to be expected from all strong solids and this one is a personal favorite.

SURFACE PREP

BALL REACTION
The purpose of drilling this particular Raw Profit is to create a ball motion that does not create overly large entry angles when playing in low friction playing conditions. This can be seen on some of the longer sport compliant patterns.

The strategy for this particular ball is to keep angles closed in the front of the lane while the midlane and backend parts of the lane begin to hook on such longer patterns it was intended for. Depending on the playing conditions, this strategy has been executed with both a 4000 matte surface and with 2000 Abralon and polish.
