900Global is introducing the Wolverine mid-performance bowling ball as having the biggest backend in the line to date on medium lane conditions. The S70 Pearl Reactive coverstock is polished with 1500-grit and is wrapped around the Lacerate 2.0 symmetric core. The Lacerate 2.0 core is a mash-up of 900Global's two most successful cores. The top part is from the Honey Badger core while the bottom part is from the Badger with an added flip block. This weight block was created to power the Wolverine to change directions with jaw dropping angle. This core and cover pairing allow the bowler to move in and open up angles while tearing up the backend and the competition.

The all new 900 Global Wolverine features the Lacerate 2.0 Core wrapped around the S70 Pearl Reactive coverstock. The Wolverine has been one of my favorite releases from 900, this ball is a perfect compliment to the Zen and Burner Pearl. The Wolverine helps bridge the gap in between the two offering continuous down lane motion late in blocks. Go out and get yours today!

Drilling pattern: 75 x 5 1/4 x 45
Pin placement: Above and left of ring finger

Looking to replace my old HB Extreme Pearl and finding the Wolverine as a pretty solid replacement. The cover is strong, but still gets through the fronts with relative ease (especially with a 5+ inch pin on it). I had some difficulty controlling the old White Hot Badger due to my early roll, but putting the long pin to PAP drilling has really opened up opportunities to use equipment I typically couldn't. This ball stores energy very well with strong backend motion. This will be a fantastic ball for late in blocks, or on THS with light oil. This ball will roll later than the Zen and should be a solid complement when the Zen gets a little lazy down lane.

The Wolverine is the newest addition to the Global 900, 700 series line. With the The Lacerate 2.0 Core, using the top portion of the Honey Badger, and the bottom portion is that of the Badger. By merging these two amazing cores into one and adding a dense flip block, we have created an engine that will change directions unbelievably sharp. Paired with the S70 Pearl Coverstock, this ball flat out hooks on the end. It is very clean through the front part of the lane storing all of its energy for when it hits the friction and once it hits that dry, there is no stopping it. This is my go to ball for when the lanes start to break down, late in the day of tournaments and you can move left and start throwing it right. For me, pearl balls that are this strong on the end, I tend to have trouble getting the corner out due to the angle, but not with the Wolverine. If you are looking for a dry - medium oil ball, the Wolverine is it.

The 900 Global Wolverine utilizes the S70 pearl coverstock and the Lacerate 2.0 core.  The Wolverine will be a step down from the Zen.  We tested the Wolverine against the Storm Spectre.  The two balls were very similar.  You don’t need both in your bag.  The Wolverine had easy length and a strong backend motion. #Stormnation

Review:
The 900 Global Wolverine has combined parts of the Badger and Honey Badger line to come up with a great design that is intended to handle transition. The Wolverine will excel in situations where you need to open your angles on most THS conditions. The Wolverine will provide a nice amount of length with good recovery downlane.

If you are currently a fan of the previous 900 Badgers and Honey Badgers you already know what this one can do.  If you have not been introduced to the Wolverine from 900 Global be sure to check this one out. For me, we decided to go with a standard benchmark 2LS layout. Before rolling this ball I was a bit concerned that the Wolverine would be a touch sideways for me. However, I was 100% surprised how smooth the Wolverine went through the front part of the lane and the room I had available off the spot to strike on a 43' THS.

Previously, I have enjoyed balls like the Honey Badger Revival and the Honey Badger Extreme Pearl where I did a short pin to PAP layout. Although the above are Asymmetric I was pleasantly pleased with the forgiveness of the Wolverine which is a symetrical off spring to the above. From what I personally have witnessed so far and for the limited time I have had with this ball it appears to be a homerun for most league conditions.

At this time, I have not changed the surface of the Wolverine. If you see over/under results the recommend has been to touch the surface with either a 3K or 4K pad and make decisions accordingly. I'm definitely excited for this ball from 900 Global!

The Wolverine features the S70 pearl coverstock and Lacerate 2.0 core, which comes in at a 2.54 RG and a .053 differential in 15 pounds.  The core is a combination of the top half of the Honey Badger core and the bottom half of the Badger core, and the S70 cover is very closely related to Storm’s R2S formula, so the easiest way to explain the Wolverine is that it’s a stronger Hyroad Pearl.  The Wolverine has a very balanced reaction, it’s easy to get down the lane and punchy on the backend, but not excessively.  The medium RG of the core keeps it from revving up too soon but the high differential gives it plenty of flare to keep it strong and consistent on the backend.  The cover is medium strength so it’s going to be on play for a lot of people on a regular house shot, and those with higher speed might find it to be a good step down from what they start with when transition sets in.  For my wife and I, the Wolverine fits as a ball down from something like the Zen, and a ball up from something like a Burner Solid or Pearl.

900 Global Wolverine
Cover: 1500-Polished S70â„¢ Pearl Reactive
Core: Lacerate 2.0â„¢ (Symmetrical)
Color: Navy/Aqua

Review:
900 Global really set the mark for symmetric pearls with the popularity of the original Zen. This ball really fills the gap between the Zen and Burner Pearl, almost mimicking hy-road pearl vibes. We are hoping no one overlooks this ball as it really packs a similar punch to the Zen, and yes it is that good. The Wolverine is great late in blocks if your Asym pearl is too much, or if you need to step down from a solid or hybrid cover and want to keep your feet in a similar position. One thing that really stands out and why we compare it to the hy-road pearl is the continuation is incredible and does really seem like it is on a higher level than other bowling balls.

Layout 5 x 4 x 2.5
Style – stroker
Ball Speed – 14mph
Condition – house pattern on older HPL surface and newer Pro Lane
Surface – box condition

I was looking to add angular pearl in the medium/dry category and decided to drill up a Wolverine. My initial results have certainly not disappointed. The pearl cover with the higher differential allowed the ball to be super clean through the fronts and have no issue getting around the corner.
As the bigger balls and stronger covers start to burn up, I’ll have no concerns about moving to the Wolverine as I continue to move left on the lane. The shape out of this ball reminds me of favorites from years past and the blue color should have tremendous shelf appeal.
Sometimes the mid / entry level balls get overlooked compared to the biggest and new big thing. Please don’t hesitate to pick up a Wolverine if you looking to add a transition piece to your arsenal. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Review:
The first thing I want to say is this is my favorite looking ball in my bag. The blue really pops when it is sitting next to the rest of my equipment. When I first threw this ball I reminded me a lot of the Hy-Road Pearl, but as I threw it more and made some surface changes I quickly realized it was a completely different ball. This ball really liked to get down the lane and have a sharp backend motion. Which late in the day at tournaments this ball is great. I love that sharp backend motion that it makes. When I took the polish off it created more mid lane roll for me which can be a life saver when the lands are making a transition. This ball is a great step up over the Burner Pearl before you get to your Zen.

The Wolverine by 900 Global is an awesome bowling ball if you are looking for a bowling ball to be super clean and wildly aggressive on the backend.  The shell is the S70 Pearl Reactive and the core is the Lacerate 2.0 Symmetric which puts the RG at 2.54 and the diff at .053 (15lbs).  That just means distance with a lot of recovery!  The Wolverine is Phenomenal when the fronts get blown up and you must move left and get it going to the right, there is no quit on the backend for this fella.  The layout I chose for the Wolverine was 5 ½ X 5 X 2 1/2, The pin position will emphasis length (5 ½), the second number is not important it just gets the imaginary mass bias close to the thumb hole and the buffer is at 2 ½ in my experience for me that allows the bowling ball some time to transition.  My coordinates are 300 rev rate, PAP 5 5/8 over and ¾ up and I like to play close to the friction.

The Wolverine will push and recover with ease.  What I found that by taking some of the shine off maybe with a 2000 or 3000 pad the squirt through the front is diminished but the backend is still ferocious.  I always have issues with over under with pearlized bowling balls at the beginning of league or whatever.  What I found with the Wolverine is it only lasts during practice or the first couple of shots, but you must be careful not to get it out too far or it will jump…. Later, in the session that jumpiness is a total blessing and will help you open the lane like a can opener.  The combination of strength with aggression down lane makes this ball a must for bad backends, rotational challenged or just like to stand left and get it right.  The Wolverine’s motion is very similar to Idol Pearl but just stronger overall.  The Wolverine is a bowling ball that can be used under different conditions and different styles.  This is one Pearl Bowling Ball that I would recommend especially if the center is a touch on the dry side or the backends are beat up!  The Wolverine is another great bowling ball by 900 Global.

The Wolverine has become the slightly smoother, slightly less aggressive companion to the Phaze 4 in my bag. Out of box, the Wolverine loves medium to medium-dry lane conditions. I have not messed with the cover much yet, but with this ball's inherent smooth roll, I predict that at a fresh 2000 cover it would be great for medium-heavy oil conditions. In comparison, I find the core in the Phaze 4 to lend itself to handling oil slightly better, but the reaction of the Wolverine is a touch more rounded. I can be more aggressive with my hand at the release point with the Wolverine and it won't over-react; however, I've found that if I do spin it a touch more than intended, the core won't make up for it as much as the Phaze 4 would.

The new 900 Global Wolverine is a scrapper for sure. The Strong Symmetric Lacerate core features a very high diff for the price point and the pearl version of the s70 cover definitely makes this ball long and strong.

Compared to other balls at its price point I would say the Wolverine is as strong as it gets. Its not going to necessarily be  snappy as the big core gives you some earlier motion but it is very continuous. Its particularly effective navigating transition on heavier volumes. Sometimes you can get trapped when your big solids push you left and want to slow down and it's 10 pin city. Since you're very often taking a big step down in over all hook to get into a quicker ball to create more angle you sometimes get pushed into the over-under where your quick ball can't be a little in and your big ball can't get a little right. This is the ideal environment for the wolverine.

I would definitely recommend this ball for bowlers who struggle a bit more low ball speed. It makes a great option as a big ball for guys who have trouble getting the big solids down-lane.

900 Global has cultivated another champion to their 700 Series line with the release of the mighty Wolverine! Out of the box, the combination of Lacerate 2.0 core and S70 Pearl coverstock produced some impressive results for a mid-priced ball. Let's take a closer look at those results on a THS.

The Lacerate 2.0 core is a winning combination of the Honey Badger and Badger cores molded into a symmetric core with an added flip block. And that result is a THS bowler's dream! The Lacerate 2.0 rev's smooth with a more relaxed dynamic through the mid-lane so it can store its energy. Whether I played straight up the second arrow early on or moved into 15-18 later in the night, the Lacerate 2.0 exploded its power when the Wolverine came off the pattern. As a straighter and more down-and-in player, I like the comfort the Lacerate 2.0 core provides. It is predictable and smooth in its motion yet powerful when changing direction. I also love how it keeps rolling with authority to kick out that late ten pin even when I know I  missed!

The S70 Pearl coverstock is by far the right choice for the Wolverine! Being a pearl combined with the Lacerate 2.0 core makes the Wolverine a dangerous weapon! I liked how the S70 clears the heads easily but doesn't over-react in the mid-lane! Further, I liked that it doesn't hesitate off the pattern but instead makes a well-defined, crisp turn down lane that I could count on! Finally, as a straighter player, I liked how the S70 gave me the confidence to move in without worrying if my release was enough to make it to the pocket. The S70 pearl coverstock gets you down the lane - and even when you think you got it too far, take a deep breath because the Wolverine will make the turn!

In conclusion, the Wolverine is an excellent new release by 900 Global. With the winning combination of the Lacerate 2.0 core and the S70 Pearl coverstock, the Wolverine is a superb choice for many styles of bowlers at a mid-level price! And if you are a straighter player like me, the Wolverine will be a ferocious weapon to add to your arsenal! So see your local pro shop operator today and make a place for the Wolverine in your arsenal! It's worth it!

My first impression was WOW, a WhiteHot with more backend. More than enough power to cover the medium to light oil patterns I bowl on. Typical clean movement throughout the fronts and mids which allow me to read the breakpoint efficiently to maximize my carry percentage.
In my league I am able to use the Wolverine after a little transition as my step down ball below my Zen and before the Burner or Afterburner.
Great ball for the cranker and stroker that can play their comfort zone. I recommend the Wolverine when settling up your 900G arsenal 👍🏾
