As advertised, this ball is super clean in the front and definitely sideways in the back, great for opening up the shot. I drilled mine over the label, pin negative, above my middle finger, this drilling just seems to work well for me, I usually drill all my stuff this way. I have used this ball several times and have seen the same results all the time...STRIKES. Ball clears the front with great ease and just makes an unbelievable move in the back, very strond backend on this one. I find this ball very useful when there is a fresh shot up and when the lanes are in transition and you need something you can bump that will recover. The ball hits like a tank, as all do AMF balls.

All I can say is WOW... what a ball. I just recently joined the AMF300 staff, and out of the balls that I have drilled up so far, this is my 2nd favorite ball,(TNT #1). Drilled the pin above my fingers, kicked the CG out to the right a little bit, and had the MB in the strong position. This gives me a very, very clean reaction through the heads with a really strong flip in the backends. At first the ball went through the breakpoint for me (much cleaner than any company that I have used in the past), so I put a weight hole to even out the backends, and move the breakpoint in a little bit (I am a power player with revs). What a difference that makes in the ball. In my opinion, I feel that this ball works best when needing to play the 2nd shifts, and needing a ball to recover when the heads breakdown. I feel that this ball will help many bowlers achieve what they are looking for to fill in their arsenal gaps. I have noticed that all the AMF300 balls hit hard, compared to the others out there.  A MUST HAVE BALL!! Wonder if they will make a solid version of this. If so... look out world that would be the ball of the year!

All I can say is ADIOS!!!!

This balls is as adviertised.  Drilled one up #15 1" pin 2.5 top.  Boring drill, pin under ring, no weight hole.  Took it out to league on AMF synthetic house.  Long oil pattern 42 feet stripped backends,  New Brunswick oil.  Ball at first hung in practice seeing it comes SUPER polished.  Wanted to scotch brite but didn't.  It seemed to roll super hard on the backend.  Shot 692 and it got better each game!!  Ball hits SO hard.  For a go long/snap kind of ball it really "rolled" into the hole.  It doesn't back off in oil but still is predictable around the pocket.  Particle pearl seems to "even out" some of the skid/snap this ball has.  With some surface change this could be an oiler but I'm leaving it alone.

Great ball from AMF!!  This one is worth a try.  I can't wait to try the Maximum Velocity!!

I laid out my AMF300 Velocity with the pin 3 1/4 inches and the Mass Bias 4 3/4 inches from my PAP. With this layout, the ball was setup for a hook/set layout.

I tested this ball in a variety of houses and shots. Most of them being house shots, and one 35 Medium Oil - Sport Pattern. On all the patterns, I was able to move into the dry area and throw my normal ball, while getting the ball down the lane and still having hitting power at the pocket. I haven't thrown much AMF equipment for a while and this ball makes me want to try more.

If you bowl in a drier house, then you might want to think about picking this ball up. It will be a versatile addition to your bag. I am sure with a skid/flip layout that this ball would corner nicely.

Any questions, please email me at Bill@BuddiesProShop.com

Got this ball a couple of months ago specifically to combat dry lane conditions I see on league sometimes when our heads get burned up. Everyone who told me about this ball told me the ball "clears the heads" extremely well.

The layout was a little odd. On a 2" pin, we drilled the ring finger right through the pin. CG is in the palm, towards the middle finger side. Mass bias is 4 o'clock beside the thumb.

In box condition, the ball skidded entirely too much. Even on the driest shot, the ball went through the breakpoint and did not have enough oomph to turn the corner. We took it down to about 1000-1200, and that seemed to fix the problem. The ball now has a more usable set of angles on dry lanes.

I throw the ball about 16-17 mph with about 250 rev rate, maybe a little higher. I'm not seeing as much hook in the backend as I would like, even on dry. Perhaps it's the drill pattern we have on the ball. In most cases, I can really make a ball face up to the pocket, but I still have a little trouble getting this ball to do that.

However, the controlability of this ball is better than I thought it would be. It is allowing me to play the right half of the lane even when the lanes are dried out, and I don't have another ball in the bag that can do that.

I didn't get what I was looking for when I bought the ball, but I got something else that I can still work with.
