Wow is  this a ton of ball or what? This ball outhooks anything  by a mile. I drilled this ball 5X4 and this ball  was to strong for anything even my week hand has encountered. I will  leave this ball in Box finish and keep   it for long heavy oil.  Great additon to the Angle family

Great ball for the flame throwers, you guys know who you are. The 19+ mph ball speed with avg to low revs.  This ball offers all the hit and hook of a monster hooking ball without the loss of control.  I have already drilled many of these at my proshop and the customers love them.  Just be careful who uses them and the conditions they use them on.  Also this is not a big go away from the pocket ball and get it back.  If you desire that get the Angle Evolution Reactive, you'll be satisfied with the reaction of the resin version, moreso than this ball.

AMFers,

Recently purchased this monster to try to solve my long flat heavy oil problem in tournaments on the left side.  See my post under drillings in the bowling forums.

This may be the heavy soup monster of monsters.  Went to John Beasley of Kingpin lanes in Midlothian Virginia.

John heard my description of the condition I was trying to tackle and recommended a low flare instant roll drilling.  Pin at 5 1/4 from my PAP,

directly under and between my ring and middle finger.  Mass Bias an inch past my VAL.

This incredible coverstock digs thru the oil and can almost be heard grabbing the lane.  Revs early, moves a few boards and then annihilates the pocket.  I thought it was a 16 pound ball with some of the hits it carried!

Went to check and it was just 15 like I purchased.  This reaction is exactly what I wanted!

For comparison, I was using a Violet 3D offset to compare and playing 10 straight up along the oil line with sloppy unstripped backends.  Any ball thrown inside 10 would not move at all(skidDDDD!).  Moved into the heavy wet soup with this animal and played 16 and never got out to the dry on the side.  This allowed me to replicate a flat oil pattern.

I'm sure if drilled with the mass bias in the strong position and with a stronger pin this ball would have incredible backend also for the heavy oil league condition.

Other balls I've used are the Rock, Chaos, Pro Zone Azure, and La Nina.

Nothing chomps on the oil like this ball.

PS. I understand that righties are either trying to play this on the oil line or are saying that it is only a one game ball.  That may be true on your side!  My shot never changes if the heavy soup is out.

If you righties have one and want to get rid of it, email me at brwealth@cs.com

Regards,

Luckylefty

Lefty Med revs Above avg speed
PAP 51/2 over 1/4 up

This ball is excellent for heavy oil.
I wet sanded mine with 320 grit.

Pin above ring finger CG kicked out
51/2 X 51/8.

Ball wants to hook early. This is my heavy oil ball.
Works great just for that.

I was dissapointed with the carry a little weaker than
expected.
Overall this ball works great when I face heavier oil
and want to throw a more direct line.
You can swing it in med conditions but I dont like the
carry this ball has on the inside line.

I hadn't thrown this ball in a long time!

My proshop did some unrequested surface work first polishing and then turning it back dull in the haus machine for what seemed about 20 minutes.  What this did to this balls ability on heavy oil I don't know.

Last night I took three balls to our house and threw just before an early league.  Super beast titanium, Hammer 4D reactive, and this Tour.

I was convinced the tour would be way to much on this medium oil condition.
Anyway even though it was not the best fit it was still impressive.  This ball still has the best backend of any heavy load particle out.  I can't believe the angular move and hit of this ball!  This with a drilling that does not encourage a strong move at the hole.  A 5 1/4 x 1.5 drilling.  Pin under fingers and mass bias in an instant roll position 1 inch past VAL. Designed this ball for long Flat oil. I can't imagine this ball stacked!!!

To compare to other particles in this heavy load class.  Even more backend than an HPH(I think this is a good one too).  Much more angular than an X-it and a Pro Zone Azure and just as early.  Yet it seems usable on medium to medium heavy oil also.

Regards,

Luckylefty
PS Still a ball of the year winner on heavy in my book.
Still the best heavy oil ball in the game!

I finally got a hold of an evolution tour.  I drilled the ball with the pin under the ring finger and the cg kicked out about and 1 1/2 inches.  Gives the ball medium length with a strong reaction at the breakpoint.  A relatively strong drilling.

Lets just say the ball was well worth the money and then some.  This ball absolutely HOOKS.  Oil means nothing to this monster.  AMF makes the best tour model bowling balls of any company in my opinion.

It is controlable and hits like any other AMF (Like a Truck).  If It wasnt as strong as it was it would be an excellent first ball out of the bag, however, with the hook it probably would not be a good choice to pull out first.  the ball roll is awsome.

Not an easy ball to get a hold of, but any serious bowler that wants a ball to hook in oil and do a good job of it should get an Evolution tour.  It has definately earned a spot in my bag, and I think it will be there for a very long time.

Great ball.  Good job AMF.

If you have the opportunity to get one of these DO!!  This ball is awsome!  Drilled it to smooth arc/controlled backend.  Pin out only 1".  Located right of ring finger.  Amf hot spot kicked way out right 5" off thumb.  Tried ball dull and it hooked way too much.  I am a semi-cranker with medium speed.  Took a little Ultimate Active Attack polish to it and WOW!  745 on a oily condition with medium carry-down.  This ball really finishes through the pockect.  Keep the pins low.  Great carry especially on light mixers.  The ball rolls real true.  Did not hook early or hang on the backend like most dull/polished particle balls.  The ball is predictable and hits like a TANK.  Great job AMF!!  Keep up the good work!

hello bowlers
Had a tournament on 6-23 a little local tourney 21 bowlers came.
anyway I decided on a new old ball the tour.
It paid for itself. drilled it up strong stacked leverage.

The center manager thanked everyone for coming said not a wall shot
a little tougher give bowlers a chance WRONG.
the tour did went down the lane to the pocket bam! No one had a
reaction the Tour is dull out of box everyone else had shined
stuff would not hook up. I shot 711-741 for 242 avg the next was
226 avg. which i lead the tourney.
It didn't hook off the lanes my centers are known for no backends
I liked my tour  shot 290 Monday night in the match play league.
they are hard to find but at www. jerrybsports.com had some at $110.

My heavy oil ball. I have this drilled to arc. It is a great ball for me for oil. Smooth transition across the oil and strong move to the pocket. Best series with this ball (796). 12/28/2003 Just shot my second 300 with this ball.

I was able to get this ball in brand-new condition a few months ago, to replace my Zone Pro Teal.  I used the Zone in a winter college league at an alley I just couldn't figure out.  I was used to averaging in the 180s before college, and I wasn't even able to bowl a 180 with the Zone.

With the Angle Evolution Tour, I was able to throw my first 600 series at this tough alley (and my first 700 series at a more familiar place).  I asked the pro shop guy there to give me a strong drilling (sorry, don't know the exact drilling), and I am able to throw the ball on the 2nd arrow to around the 8th board at around 16 mph, where it carries very well.  If I make a bad shot, it doesn't strike, but leaves makeable spares.

The ball's surface has to be maintained, or else the ball's reaction is lost.  I use a 320-grit sponge I bought at some paint store for $2, and it seems to do the job just fine - keeps the reaction smooth and controllable.

This ball allowed me to become one of the best bowlers in my league... and it matches my other AMF ball well (an American Beauty).

I have a used one and just plugged the thumb and all I can say it's a shame ball companies feel they have to give us different colors in new equipment that most of the time sucks ,when they have a winner.Great oil ball,Drilled leverage.

well, this is my first review.  well i got this ball to bowl the nationals in reno.  its 15lb with 2-3 inch pin and 2.4oz top weight.  my friend Thomas Holt, drilled up this ball label levelage i think.  the pin is just to the right of my ring finger, with the CG at Mid span the the Mass bias to the left of my thumb hole.  I also have a small weight hole on my PAP.  through some trial and error, i use Storm Xtra shine and then break the surface with some green scotch brite.  the ball is a really good for reading the mids and clears the heads really well.  with my rev challenged hand, the ball has a nice arc to it and very easy to read.  I use this ball when the lanes are oiled for a flat shot, and carries very well.  Even though this ball is a few years old, i would still recommend this ball just for the fact that its easy to read on the lanes and its not going to get away from you.  i havent tried it yet polished up, but i have other stuff for when the lanes have less oil.  i hope this helps some of you.  I think you can still find some of these on ebay.  its defineatly worth a try withough breaking the bank.
