The Cold Fusion: Recently AMF has designed and produced some of the highest quality bowling balls that have ever existed in the bowling industry. We have done this by providing a variety of balls that offer versatility with very high performance.

There is a reason for this ball being named The Cold FUSION. This ball "fuses" the proven control of a Light-Bulb core with the power of a unique Dual Mass Bias. The combined effect is to deliever a better combination of control of the mid lane while providing stronger backend, a higher spin rate, more hook, and a higher carry percentage.

The Super-Flex reactive coverstock provides more length and backend when the bowler is looking to create more area when the pattern starts to break down. This will allow the player's ball to turn the corner harder when playing extreme angles to the pocket.

We have had our Cold Fusion for about 3 weeks now, and I just wanted to report that AMF has another great ball!

The Cold Fusion is smooth rolling and predictable bowling ball with excellent hit and pin carry! We drilled our ball with a 3-3/8"pin from the PAP and a weight hole at 5" from the grip center through the CG.

I have used this ball in league play and in a tournaments and find that it adapts to a wide range of lane conditions!

The Super-Flex Reactive cover is polished at 3000 out of the box! It makes the ball very friendly as the lane conditions breakdown and the track area dries up!

I was impressed with its ablity to get down the lane and turn the corner strong!

This ball will adapt to a wide range and style of bowlers and I recommend this ball to anyone who is having problems with reactive balls that over-react!

I highly recommend this ball and encourage anyone to try it without fear!

Drilled my Cold Fusion with the pin 5 1/2 and the CG 4 inches away from my PAP, which placed the Mass Bias in the strong position. Used this ball on flat shot on a 2nd shift league. Lane normally get fairly ugly in this house and high scores are not heard of too often. Normally the problem is getting the ball through the front part of the lane with enough energy to carry out the corners, and no you can't move in deeper to score. With this ball i was able to get enough length out of the ball with enough backend flip to actually make a decent showing in league. This ball definitely has more flare potential than the average lightbulb weightblock. Overall I have always had success with lightbulb weight blocks in the past, and with the Mass Bias, I feel that not only do you create a slightly different entry angle (which helps in carrying) but you retain the predictable nature of this symetric core. Another excellent ball by AMF.

I've had this ball since October 2001 and only recently have been using it again.
Had the finger grips replaced with the correct size(as with all of my equipment), so now I can get all of the finger tips in the holes(a big difference).
A very smooth and strong rolling ball with good backend finish, angle and power.
Good control too!
Best on medium oily to medium dry lane conditions.
This ball worked great for me in practice the last few times but have yet to get it to work for me in tournaments and league.
Can be a little tricky on the backend as the entry angle is higher than average.  Probably the highest entry angle of all the balls I own.
Another good ball compliment to the Firehawk which I love.
The Firehawk, Cold Fusion & Super/C are all awesome balls.
Can't wait to see the new AMF lineup of new balls!

Just thought that I would give this ball another, detailed review.  I think that this ball has really helped me change my game up a little bit.  I like the way that it has taught me to force to teach myself how to adjust properly.

Drill:  Pin is 120 degrees right and down of my middle finger about one and a half inches
          CG is swung out from the center of grip about an inch and a half
          MB is directly one inch straight down from my thumbhole

Me:  Righty with average to above average speed, and above average revs.  This ball is being played right up the ten board with this style and drilling for my strike ball.  If in need, I can easily make myself into a cranker, or a stroker.

REACTION SHAPE:  This ball goes down the lane a very long way.  I expected that with the pearlized, and highly polished shell, but not with this drilling, which normally gets a ball to roll up a little early.  It goes about 45 feet, then stands up, arcs a little bit, then absolutely snaps very hard.  Surprisingly, the snap is quite hard, but is also very controllable.  The reaction of this ball seems to be the same no matter where it is played on the lane.  It goes its distance, and then simply arcs then snaps.

DRIFT:  I have used this ball on heavy, to dry, all of which for me the ball seemed to perform well on contrary to other reviews.  It clears the heads amazingly like no pearl reactive I have ever had.  Whether it is heavy oil or dry oil it floats through the heads similar to a plastic ball.

HIT:  This ball I imagined would hit pretty hard with the placement of the MB and the way the core looked.  And this was simply right on target.  As soon as it snaps, it stands up and rolls very hard.  When it hits the pocket, it makes a very load sound and blasts pins around.  A lot of times, the 7 pin will fall back, then flip and hit its head, then fall again, head, fall, etc. until the sweep gets rid of it.  The only problem is that sometimes the ball will come in a little steep, and will leave a wrap ten every now and then.

   In summary, this is a great ball and has taught me some new things.  Before I got this ball, I could not play a down and in shot.  I always was used to singing my Angle Evolution the whole lane.  This ball made me learn how to play a down and in shot, because that seems to be its bailiwick.  This has also taught me how to adjust, because if it rolls up just a little to early, I can move two boards to the left and will continue to strike.  This ball does not like to be swung, but it can be done with enough revs played from the left gutter right at the ten pin, and it will snap and recover, but it seems to just not have as much energy left over when played like this.  It also sometimes might leave a solid 9 pin on occasion, but it is easily forgotten by a small adjustment.  This is one of the best balls I have ever thrown because of its versatility.  A simple move of boards will help this monster find and destroy the pocket.
