Features:

- Coverstock: F73 Pearl (F10 least aggressive-F90 most aggressive)
- Color: Copper/Turquoise All colors do vary somewhat from the picture shown.
- Finish: 1500 grit polished
- Core: Mallet Symmetric
- RG: 2.54 (15# ball)
- Diff: 0.037 (15# ball)
- Recommended Lane Condition:  Medium to Dry Oil

Speed    17MPH
Rev rate   450
PAP   4-7/8 and 1/3 up
Axis Tilt   15 degrees
Axis Rotation   30 degrees
Encore   40x5.5x60
The AMF Encore is a new mid-level addition to the AMF300 ball lineup. This pearl symmetric ball is good on medium-dry lane conditions. With the drilling that I used on this ball, I can compare it to the 900 Global Breakdown that I currently use, and they react in a similar fashion, but I would say that the Encore is a little more length and a bigger backend reaction. I like to use this layout on equipment that I want to be able to keep outside and play straighter angles downlane, and this ball matches up well by being able to clear the heads and still have enough pop downlane to get good carry. If I compare it to a similar ball in the AMF300 line, the NightHawk SE, it is a bit more ball overall. Using the F73 Pearl cover, this ball will have the biggest motion on the backend part of the lane. This would be my first choice to transiation towards after I see that my benchmark reaction is a bit too much or too early.

LANE CONDITION

Length:

Volume:

Layout of 65 x 4 3/4 x 40.

This piece has performed well as patterns burn up and the heads go away. The F73 cover/core combo allows the Encore to be clean through the heads but still have enough motion on the backend. Comparing it to the Bull Whip that used this same cover, the Encore is clean but not as flippy on the backend. I currently go to this piece when balling down from the Dark Matter. These two pieces compliment each other well in my opinion. Another comparison would be to last years vintage release, the Night Hawk. For me the Nighthawk is a little earlier and smoother when comparing it to the Encore. All in all if you are looking for a piece that is clean through the heads and or med-light patterns consider this piece.

Taking a proven core from numerous releases in the 2000s, AMF has created a mid performance pearl that is your go to ball during transition. Clean through the heads and unlike typical pearls, the Encore is nice and smooth on the backends. If you want more backend motion, then a Respect Pearl or Boost Pearl will do the trick. This ball will not wow you with a huge sweeping backend. When the Dream On or Dark Matter or Black Ops are reading too early, I can take the Encore and migrate back right closer to the dry. Everyone has that ball that is meant for higher volume or a benchmark type reaction, but not everyone has something for when the lanes transition. This is a must have for transitioning lanes or 2nd shift burnt lanes. Well done AMF!

AMF Encore
Coverstock - F73 Pearl
Core - Mallet Symmetric
Finish - 1500 polish
RG - 2.54
Diff - .037
Ball Speed - 16/17 mph
Cranker

The Encore is the perfect compliment to the Unreal as the lanes transition during a set. The Mallet core and F73 pearl coverstock provide the Encore with a controlled look off the breakpoint. When compared to the Unreal the Encore provides more length and a cleaner look through the front of the lane. The Encore is ideal for bowlers looking for a medium to dry benchmark ball, or bowler's with slower ball speeds who need a ball to retain energy for the breakpoint.
