It's been years since I've bought an AMF ball. When I saw the TRIUMPH and read the comments rom AMF it looked exciting but having NO CONFIDENCE I passed the ball by.

About three months ago a BR member was trying to sell a USED one. I rarely buy USED balls but I made an offer. Before the day was out the ball was mine. The BEST THING that ever happened to me.

I've had the ball out for about six sessions (18 games) and I'm thrilled everytime I throw it. I'm not able to tell how the ball is drilled but I can say that the PIN is 1" above and 1" to the right of my ring finger. The AMF label is in my PALM. I'm right handed.

The ball ROLLS LONG and SNAPS to the pocket .. it's a consistent roll and once zerod in you can predict the path to the pocket. I rarely leave un-makeable spares and I use the same ball for SPARES with NO PROBLEM. Todays series was:237/224/216=677 in a Center where I'm averaging 201.

I've heard that these balls die aftr 60 games .. I don't know if it's true .. I sure am enjoying it NOW!

I can concur with Joe that this balls is a great ball. I just got mine drilled up yesterday and used it during league. The ball was drilled stacked leverage with max hook and max backend on a Fresh Oil (they oil the lanes before league starts at this house).

During the 1st 10 minutes of practice I have not got a strike with this ball. But as soon as the league play starts, this ball just won't stop striking. I usually stand on the 20th board and throw on the 18th to the 8th for fresh oil shots, but this one I had move 3 boards over. It doesn't matter if I missed my mark or not, it still came back to the pocket... First 3 games with this ball: 225, 248, 234 = 707 series and I'm only a 186 average bowler.

I'm beginning to love this ball. Oh.. did I mention that it hits like a TRUCK??!?!?!

I have been using this ball for most of last season and it has been working great its drilled 4x3 and has a real nice roll and great back end on any medium or medium/heavyy house pattern and I`m even finding a nice back end on flat shot/sport shots from inside as long as it is not real dry

How to drill my AMF-Triumph Ball..

I'm in VietNam where the Bowling is not really popular, my shop don't really know how to drill this ball,
This is my first fall, and it is AMF-Triumph, I had read the "Pro Shop Operator's Guide To AMFball Drilling Techniques" but I still don't know how to drill my ball in the right way.

Many detail has been said on the instruction but I can't find it on my ball....

Pin, Center of Gravity, PAP, Balance hole, Center of Grip, Midplane, Midline <== how can I find those detail on my ball???

I saw just a White Dot, an AMF-made in USA-3vk00122, a Triumph logo, and that's all... how can I define all above detail??

Please help me. I'm a right hand player, I want to drill my ball for "most hook and strongest backend reaction" and have the best effection that this ball can give, please...please help me.......

I'm just a junior player, I've been playing this game for only 8 months.

I used to borrow my friend's hook ball, it was a Storm one. Now I decide to have my own ball, I had my syster sent me an AMF-Triumph but I don't know how to drill it. Where I live(VietNam), there is no Pro-shop, all the balls have to bring outside my country to be drilled. For me, I have no chance to do so, I have drilling service but no instruction, i'm afraid they'll do the wrong drilling, so I need your help, please.

The Bowling VietNam is not really popular, the bowling center don't really know how to drill this ball it's not a Pro one,
This is my first ball, and I want it to be good, I had read the Drilling guide carefuly.

First Off, thanks to Joe Falco for turning me on to this ball. A "sleeper" if ever there was one.
Wt= 15lbs. 5oz
Top wt = 4oz
Pin= 3.5"
Speed= 15-15.5mph
Revs= Medium
Conditions= THS, late in the day w/lotsa carrydown
Layout= Pin over bridge, CG kicked out about 1"

Man ooo, man! This ball is the stuff!! Very strong ball. Needs oil in the heads though, but eats thru any other oil that it sees!! Probably better on medium to medium hvy oil. But when you find the right condition, this ball comes back from literally anywhere!! You can't throw it too far out. Must have a boomerang core or something. I love it. Mine goes long and breaks late and hits very hard. Obliterates the pins. For a second I thought I was throwing MoRich. Very distinct, and angular breakpoint. Consistent with whatever release you use....and it's a very pretty ball. Got that MONEY green mixed in w/old gold

Naw....this is AMF Baby!!! A definite sleeper. Glad I got a hold of this one. Seems as though the more oil it sees, the more it comes alive!! Good job Columbia, this one is a keeper.

PS. Methinks its so good cause it's got the old EXCALIBUR core in it..a classic by the way. Great cover to core mix!!

This ball is the bees knees. This one of my most aggressive balls and i love it. Im not sure what year this ball came out but i bought it at a discount price of $80 brand new. This ball is definitely worth the 80 i spent on it and then some.

Drilled this ball and put the pin under the ring finger and kicked the cg out an inch or so. It had a fairly long pin so we put the weight hole below and to the right of my thumb hole. Kept it polished up and this ball had quite a bit of hook to it.
