Well, I drill the Kick, for Willie Willis, an AMF Staffer. I laid the ball out with the cg and the pin a 1/2" from his grip line, and the pin distance was about an inch. We were looking for this to be the dry lane ball in his arsenal, and it is.
Willie is able to move right and get the ball down the lane without having to swing the lane. This is something that he was looking for with this ball, because in the past, we have had problems finding a ball that he didn't have to swing.
He threw this ball last night with the Angle Evolution Extra Tour, and the Firehawk. The Firehawk was the strongest, Extra Tour was in the middle, and the Kick was the straightest.
I think that with any 3-piece type ball on drier lane condition, that you tend to need more hitting power. I think with the Kick and the nugget inside, you will notice a little extra punch on the deck.
On a scale of 1-10, I would give this ball a 6. I give it a 6 because a lot of bowlers will not be able to use it on oily patterns, and it will stay in your bag. When you hit those drier conditions, this will be something that you can pull out. You will notice better hitting power than most 3-piece type balls.
