The Fire Hawk Super/C has been out since before Christmas of 2001,
and we have already put a bunch of these balls on the lanes to
Our customers with great success!

The Fire Hawk Super/C (Designed by AMF) (Manufactured by Columbia for AMF)
is a great "Skid/Flip" Reactive ball! It features Columbias tried and proven
Super Flex Reactive Cover stock with an additive called Super Mag!

This Pearlized reactive ball is strong out of the box!
This is one Hard hitting Ball! in that it features a "Ceramic Nugget"
in the lower part of the core thus giving the ball a lower RG factor.

Designed for most league conditions, Medium to Oil, and it holds up well as the
lanes begin to break-down!

When we test any new ball we always use two standard drilling patterns,
We use a (Label Leverage)Pattern, 4X4 (Pin & CG) 4" from the PAP with no balance Hole.
And we use a (Full Leverage) Pattern, 3-3/8" Pin and CG from the PAP with a balance hole on the midline at 6" from the grip center.

This ball will adapt to any of your favorite drilling patterns!

We found this ball to be a strong performer overall and We

Ball specs:
Wt: 15lbs., 3oz.
Top wt: 2 1/2 oz.
Pin: 2-3"
Pin @ 4o'clock, 1" from ring finger
CG midway between ring finger & thumb
Treated w/Doc Hollywood's Magic Ball Elixir and polished out with Ebonite Extender Polish

A good value ball and good follow up to the Firehawk.
Looks cool too!
Clean rolling through the heads and arcing hook to the pocket.
Good hit & carry when anywhere near the pocket.  Has the sound of a gunshot when hitting the pocket just right.  Good control and power.
Have had good luck using this ball in tournaments when the lanes are drying out or when the Firehawk or Red Fuze are not working.
Best on medium to dryer lane conditions.
Recommended!

P.S.,
A shame AMF discontinued the Firehawk.
A great low load particle ball in my opinion.
I've placed in many tournaments with this ball.

Smooth transition through the heads goes long with great backend flip to the pocket. Hits a ton and has great carry whenever you're anywhere near the pocket. Looks great too!

Tough learner. It begs to teach as it is a very detail oriented ball. Find your break point and you can't go wrong. Struggle with it and it will make you pay. Lane condition weights heavily on performance. Tough to adjust entry angle. Had trouble with some tens.

Great ball for the money. Once I settled in and made some adjustments the ball performed as expected. First game out of the box was a 163. With some adjustments and tweaks I was able to carry a 208 for the evening. Recommend it to anyone willing to change their game a little. Hitting is unmatched by anything I have ever thrown. Very loud when it hits the pocket just right, and people notice. This ball will make a wonderful addition to your arsenal. I don't recommend it for beginers as they should look at something with a little less flare. I'm going to change the drill pattern to for a little less aggresiveness. I'll update later.

This was no doubt one of the worst pearls I've ever thrown. I occasionaly like to bring it to practice on typical wall shots and even there it's not a great ball. Rolls early for a pearl and doesn't retain any energy on the backend. A very weak, unimpressive pearl. The coverstock I have used in other Columbia balls and it's still not my favorite.
