I was able to get this ball in brand-new condition a few months ago, to replace my Zone Pro Teal. I used the Zone in a winter college league at an alley I just couldn't figure out. I was used to averaging in the 180s before college, and I wasn't even able to bowl a 180 with the Zone.
With the Angle Evolution Tour, I was able to throw my first 600 series at this tough alley (and my first 700 series at a more familiar place). I asked the pro shop guy there to give me a strong drilling (sorry, don't know the exact drilling), and I am able to throw the ball on the 2nd arrow to around the 8th board at around 16 mph, where it carries very well. If I make a bad shot, it doesn't strike, but leaves makeable spares.
The ball's surface has to be maintained, or else the ball's reaction is lost. I use a 320-grit sponge I bought at some paint store for $2, and it seems to do the job just fine - keeps the reaction smooth and controllable.
This ball allowed me to become one of the best bowlers in my league... and it matches my other AMF ball well (an American Beauty).
