Here are my thoughts on the Titan.  I got one 15.03 pin 3in and top weight 4 1/4.  Top weight was good for the drilling I wanted to use.  I let it set in the basement for about 3 weeks debating on drilling it.  I drilled it tonight pin next to ring finger a little below cg shifted about an 1/8 to the left.  Drilling is 3 1/4 by 3 1/2.  I used this ball on fresh synethic coated lanes Christmas tree oil.  This ball clears the heads great with plenty left for the backends.  Even into the third game with the carry down I just moved out about 3 boards and this ball had tremendous recovery.  This is definately staying in my bag for the medium oil shots.  Only thing I don't like about the new AMF300 balls is the label.  They put the CG in the label.  With the current drill pattern I have on this on I have taken part of the first serial number out and the made in the USA logo is cutting into my thumb.  Other than that this is a good strong reactive pearl ball.

Ball Specs

Starting weight
15 lbs  3 oz.

Top Weight
3 oz.

Pin 3"

Drilling
4x4
No fourth hole needed.

Ending positive static balances
5/8ths side
1/2 finger

Bowler data with ball
17.5-18.0 MPH
425 RPM
45 degree axis tilt.

Current Typical Condition
36 foot moderate/heavy oiled THS.  Out of bounds at five.  Decent, but diminishing, hold area between third and fifth arrow.  Medium backends creating moderate carrydown.

There's been a change, of late, at our local bowling center with the oiling patterns that have been laid out.  A little less backends.  A little more of the hold area shifting it's way outside of third arrow.  But, a shot that stays VERY consistent over the course of six games leaving second shifters with a very nice condtion.  In the past, I've relied too much on the equipment doing the job for me.  Letting polished solid reactive balls bounce off the cushion or nestle in the hold area.  That's changed for the better as the new condition has mandated a decent bowler to execute quality shots throughout the evening.  I've gone from 15 to 16 and back to 15 pounds the past few years as carpal tunnel syndrome has made the Nail/Black Knight/Pink Hammer twisting sessions nearly impossible.  I'm not sure how long I'll be able to continue at the current pace with the Titan, but I feel like a kid in a candy store, and like I've been sent back in time 15 years.  This ball MAKES me hit it hard.  Not lolly-gagging any ball into the hole.  The only down side.  I've been bombarded with a fair share of smash 7's, 9's, and FAR too many pocket 7-10's as the entry angle this ball creates is fable-creating.  I'm not sure how much this ball should retail for, but it's underpriced for those who are looking for a pearlized reactive ball.  Thanks to Clint Daley for the great service and may God Bless America.

Ball- 3 inch pin with 3 oz top

Drill- 3 3/8 stacked leverage.  Ball ended up with 1/4 finger and 1/2 positive side. It had more finger and side, but I drilled the ring finger deeper to get it legal without using an x-hole, just in case I needed to put it in a different spot than normal

Oil pattern- Typical house shot. oiled pretty heavy from 8 to 8 for 40ft and buffed out to 45ft.

Minimal axis tilt with about 40-50degree axis rotation.  14-15 M.P.H. with too many revs( don't know exactly how many but I've been told it's up towards 350-400)

Do you want or need a ball that clears the heads good?  Well, this one does, even when they break down a bit.

Want a ball that has TONS of recovery at the breakpoint? Does that also!

The combination of the superflex cover and the core allow this ball to get clear of the heads easily.  For me it waits a long time before reading the midlane, almost too long, but when it does read the breakpoint, get ready for the show to start!

Last night in league, I started out with my feet on 36, playing the shot over 16th board, out to about the 5th board at the breakpoint 45-50ft away, and watched this thing just DESTROY the rack.  Left two solid nines and still shot 258 right out of the box. Lanes transitioned and I had to move out a bit, but shot a second game of 237.  Third game sucked because I suffered "operator malfunction" for no apparent reason and shot a buck 51. Totally my fault though.

This ball is good for me on the fresh, but got a little squirrely when the carrydown started until I figured out what was happening.  It is a bit oil sensitive, but that can be fixed with just a minor cover adjustment like I had to make in this one. It took the cover change well for me.  Dulled just a bit it had a much truer, stronger read of the pattern.  It just hooked so much so late for me that I still had to play pretty deep to keep my angle of trajectory ending up in the pocket.

If you need a dry lane ball, I don't think this is quite that.  For me at least, it reads the dry VERY hard and DEFINITELY hooks when it finds it.

  On a scale of 1-10, I would have to give this one a 7 to a 7.5.

My 15lb Titan came with a 4' pin & 3.5 top.

I put the pin over the fingers in a 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 layout.

WOW.. does this ball roll nice.

Our house condition is 43' blended with a big build up in the middle. While the Titan didn't pick up early enough inside the oil line, it reacted great, and gave me the best look I've had in along time going from, the oil to the dry.

What I liked the best is that it didn't go sideways like some of the other pearls I've thrown when they hit the dry.

I know it's been out for awhile for some of you looking for the latest and greatest release in the ball of the month club, but it really is a good addition to anyone's arsenal.

If you want a ball for Extreme Bowling under the black lights, don't get this one.  It is UGLY under black light!  If you want one that gives a great reaction and strikes like crazy, then THIS is the ball for you.  Not for heavy oil, but on a normal house shot, this ball makes a nice read of the midlane, starts reving, but retains it's energy for an amazing release when it hits dry.  Mine makes a nice left hand, continuous motion in the dry, but is clean through the heads and midlane, even on very dry lanes.  I wouldn't classify it as a dry lane ball, but if you can play deep, it will handle that as well.  First series, out of the box, with no practice games on it, I shot 770.  My high ever to that point was 712, and that with a powder blue Hammer.  This handles the lane like a Brunswick Punisher with a much better midlane read.  You gotta have this one!  Great ball to use as the first or second one out of the bag.

just brought this ball in late march and out the box i rolled a 258. i just got back into bowling after a 4year layoff and this was the first ball i brought. played on synthetic and wood lanes this ball reacts outta hell on the wood surface on typical league shot. i throw from the inside to the outside with ball speed of 15-16 mph and medium to high revs and when it hits the backend its night night rack. the only flaw i had with this ball was getting caught with the solid 10 pin!!! damned AMF. but if your looking for a ball for the medium oil patterns then i highly recommend this ball. thanks to the owners of the pro shop at Baton Rouge's Metro Bowl!!!

ball specs:
14# 4oz
3.5 in pin
3.2oz top weight

the ball is drilled pin over bridge and the cg 3/4 in to the left of palm.

i bought this ball for lighter conditions and i got it i guess. it is strong enough to get to the pocket on med to longer patterns but it dosent have enough hit to trip out the corners. on shorter patterns i had to swing it a bit. it defenatly carried and hit on the shorter shot so i guess i got what i wanted. although its a little bit stronger than i wanted, the ball is so smooth. i have never seen a pearl reactive move like it even with a light polish.

overall it was suprisingly smooth and a decent ball.
