Ball- 3 inch pin with 3 oz top
Drill- 3 3/8 stacked leverage. Ball ended up with 1/4 finger and 1/2 positive side. It had more finger and side, but I drilled the ring finger deeper to get it legal without using an x-hole, just in case I needed to put it in a different spot than normal
Oil pattern- Typical house shot. oiled pretty heavy from 8 to 8 for 40ft and buffed out to 45ft.
Minimal axis tilt with about 40-50degree axis rotation. 14-15 M.P.H. with too many revs( don't know exactly how many but I've been told it's up towards 350-400)
Do you want or need a ball that clears the heads good? Well, this one does, even when they break down a bit.
Want a ball that has TONS of recovery at the breakpoint? Does that also!
The combination of the superflex cover and the core allow this ball to get clear of the heads easily. For me it waits a long time before reading the midlane, almost too long, but when it does read the breakpoint, get ready for the show to start!
Last night in league, I started out with my feet on 36, playing the shot over 16th board, out to about the 5th board at the breakpoint 45-50ft away, and watched this thing just DESTROY the rack. Left two solid nines and still shot 258 right out of the box. Lanes transitioned and I had to move out a bit, but shot a second game of 237. Third game sucked because I suffered "operator malfunction" for no apparent reason and shot a buck 51. Totally my fault though.
This ball is good for me on the fresh, but got a little squirrely when the carrydown started until I figured out what was happening. It is a bit oil sensitive, but that can be fixed with just a minor cover adjustment like I had to make in this one. It took the cover change well for me. Dulled just a bit it had a much truer, stronger read of the pattern. It just hooked so much so late for me that I still had to play pretty deep to keep my angle of trajectory ending up in the pocket.
If you need a dry lane ball, I don't think this is quite that. For me at least, it reads the dry VERY hard and DEFINITELY hooks when it finds it.
On a scale of 1-10, I would have to give this one a 7 to a 7.5.
