Well this ball with it's "WARNING, THIS BALL HOOKS" scared me into a mindset - "where am I going to throw this one?" Safe to say it's a versatile hook in a box!  Drilled it up with a 4 x 3, pin down tried it first in a box finish.  League condition, AMF synthetic's 41ft pattern.  Shot 700 playing around 22 with a little swing and this dull ball (1000 abralon) STILL had a strong enough move to slap out the 10.  It was impressive for a dull ball that deep.  Now I couldn't go away too much for either overreacion early or roll-out later but it still did it's job.  This ball is a roller, hooker.  It's an absolute must for heavy oil.  It opens up a tight shot so well!  I've tried it with 2000 abralon, 4000 abralon and polish.  With the 2000/4000 I am able to play a little straighter line and stay with it longer.  Still needs oil up front but reaction was STRONG to say the least.  Polished it's a ball you can actually swing to the track and it gives you a real continuous movement into the pits.  Carries the "off" hit extremely well, either light or heavy, meaning lots of trip 4's for the right hander.  

AMF's now has a big hooker that can easily be changed to the bowler's style.  Real easy ball to read usually means high scores!!  I think this will be a winner.

i never written a review before but i gotta write one about this ball..  i owned 2 amf ball..  one being the code (awesome ball) and recently the mega friction..  this ball is amazing..  ball drilled pin next to ring finger, cg kick out 45 degree and a weight hole on the side..  i bowled on a friday morning scratch league modified THS..  when i said modified usually kinda flooded with oil.  i never seen a ball that can ride the oil and snap so hard off the backend.  i was stunned.  while the other folks are complaining their ball not moving..  best ball for heavy stuff and great job for AMF developing, creating this monster!!!!!!!!

Mega Friction @ 1000 abralon, in out of box condition is WAY too strong for this pattern, which is a bit on the flat side and not the easiest to play on. My intentions was to use this ball for tourney's and sport type conditions as needed. Still need to experiment with this ball. Even with this pretty tame 5X3 drilling this ball DOES hook ALOT!!!! Anyone who says otherwise either has never used it or doesn't know much about bowling or lane conditions! Sorry bout this blunt statement! If this ball hooks alot on a FLATTER pattern, how will it react on a wall-shot? TOO STRONG!

Overall it is a good tourney, sport shot and pba shot type of ball as long as it's drilled tamely. Thanks for reading my post. Good luck to anybody else who has got one!
