The Heist

I am really leaning towards picking this one up. Very interested in a comparison to the  Hammer BW or to any of the DT equipment I have listed in my profile.

The Hei$t is, in short, the ultimate benchmark ball. Decent length, with a smooth but deceptively strong backend reaction.

Compared to the Widow, I'd say less aggressive overall, which isn't a bad thing per se -- you can just stand a few boards further right anyways.

The Hei$t might be like an Ne10 but with less lope in the front of the lane (lower RG core). The cover gives it the length, while the core gives it its smooth, consistent roll.

Very, very, very highly recommended!

Less aggressive that the Widow?  Are you kidding me?  I see much more hooking power with my Heist than with the Widow I had.  The Widow may have had a LITTLE more backend, but the Heist hooks MUCH more for me.  Great ball.... you won't be disappointed.

From my experience with 2 of them it is a revy rolly smooth ball that does hook in oil.  It doesn't BOOM off the dry but it does what is needed.  It works great on wet/dry or fresh backends.  It does get into an early roll so don't try to use it on drier heads - it will look like it's not hooking but for a comparison to a BW it rolls earlier, little smoother on the backend.  Probably covers MORE boards overall on an oily condition especially if the surface is changed.

Hope that helps!

I would agree that it needs head oil.
