I'm thinking about maybe getting a Velocity, but I do have a few questions about it:

Is it a polished solid particle or a pearl particle?

What about AMF coverstock durability?

I'm assuming it's angular, which is what I'm looking for.

jjweb...  this ball is a new coverstock, a combination of both particle & pearl, but it's not. Kinda weird to describe it. This ball is super clean through the heads, and it is angular in the backends, but I feel that you might want to drill a weight hole to even out the reaction or you will have over/under all day long. Drilling a weight hole will make the ball roll better in the backends (still strong & angular, but controllable) which excels in tourney/sport shots. I have used this ball often the past few weeks, and very impressed with it. Go ahead and get one.. you won't be disappointed at all.

not trying to hijack this thread or anything, I just had a short question though.  Is it possible that this ball is more angular on the backend than the X-Factor Ace?

jjweb, to answer your question.  A weight hole (directly across from your center of span) takes out side weight and side weight is a big contributor to the flippiness of a ball.
