Freaking Nasty.
I drilled this ball with a pin 4" to my PAP, 3" above the midline and the C.G. kicked 1 inch from grip center. The static weights were left at 1 1/8oz positive and 1/4thumb positive. I threw it today on a modified house condition after a scratch tournament, mainly to see where I wanted to add the extra hole.
I had a Command Zone Arc back in the day that I shot 289 and 298 with with this same drill but the x Hole 2" past my PAP. There's no way I'm going to be able to put the X-Hole past my PAP cause this baby FLARES. 6 1/2" actually of wide rings which gives a huge footprint on the lane. I'm around 325-330 in RPMS so that's a bit above average and my ballspeed is on the medium to medium-high side depending on how I'm playing the lanes. This ball revs a ton off the hand, making me look like I have an extra 50 or 60 rpms. You can really see the core in this ball do it's work through the path of the ball. Early revs, a ton of roll in the midlane and a strong(not snappy) drive on the backend. With carrydown from the 5 or 6 games bowled on the pattern before I got to it by guys using a ton of the big hookers on the market, carrydown was present(as the other balls I threw labored around the corner in it) but the Radar Lock kept coming as if they were freshly stripped. A few times I got soft on it and left some designer splits that I hardly ever leave(3-4-6-7-10, 3-7-10). The strength of the Radar lock, even while polished very high is amazing. I can see this ball being a house shot killer, and since it's so strong, chasing the oil inside isn't a problem.
I am thrilled to have a piece like this in my bag again. The reviews are right on with this one, it reminds me of the Absolute Inferno on steroids. Early read, lots of revs in the midlane, strong sweep across the deck.
Niiiice.
