The Radar's ability to handle more challenging oil patterns (the shot in the movie is a 40 ft. Semi-THS, yes, but it plays pretty flat and there is carry-down present), as well as its versatility on the lanes is unmatched. The Tower Core provides the hit that all bowlers have been looking for -- throwing messengers across the deck, ripping racks, etc.
