I am trying to decide on a few good balls to get. I like to play down the boards like straight down the third arrow maybe with a slight swing, then have a nice perdictable move on the backends. I just dont want a ball that will react to early or to eratic. I would like one ball that has a smooth predictable move and one thats skid snap. Looking to cover medium to medium heavy. What balls would you suggest most? I do not care what brand they are. I throw about 16 mphs with medium revs with a lot of forward roll. I tried a black widow and did not like it at all. I currently have turbo diesel and like it a lot but it is dying
Thanks

1) The Hei$t -- this will allow you to do exactly what you want.
2) Are you looking for true skid-snap, or something that is just more angular than the Hei$t? If it's the first, then the first ball that comes to mind is a Visionary SS Ogre. If you just want more length and a more angular backend reaction, try an AMF Night Hawk Pearl with a weaker drilling (5 x 4) or a Storm T-Road pearl (maybe a little stronger, 4.5 x 4).

I have 3 suggestions. AMF Heist, AMF Nighthawk Solid, or a 900Global Creature. They are all very good benchmark balls. You would have to talk to your driller about the drilling options for the reaction you want and surface on all of these balls are very adjustable. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.
Thanks,

^^ Just woke up and completely forgot about the Night Hawk solid and the Creature! Both of those would work for you, too.

Is the solid still being made?
I'm thinking that I should've picked one up when they came out last year.

I agree with the other responses you have had to your question. For a smooth consistent reaction you can't go wrong with the AMF Heist. It will give you everything you want out of a control ball. For skid snap, a Hammer Toxic with the pin above the fingers is absolutely great. I drill a good number of balls each year and for the price, you can't get a better value. The Toxic will have a definitive angle to the break point, but won't be so "snappy" a straight down-and-in player would have trouble controlling it.
