Does anybody know the RG and Diff of the Changeling balls?  Since it uses the Triumph core, would it be reasonable to assume they are close to the TNT?

TNT and Triumph were 2.469 and 0.055, but Triumph was 2.498 and 0.043.

Also, if the coverstock is SuperFlex, I've heard that Superflex is one of the best covers of all time.

They are leftover coverstocks from runs of Columbia/Track/AMF300 balls.  They are all reactive, but some have super flex, and some dont.  You can take any of them and look at the catalogs and figure out which cover came off of it.

Actually, you can't do that because many of the changelings use coverstock blends that were or never will be released.

I wish we could get a straight answer about the coverstocks!  I've read that they are all superflex, and I've read that they are left overs from ball runs.

I have a GP2 Changeling waiting to drill up, but it is very polished and shiny.

i talked to an AMF rep, who said that the changeling has a TNT core, same RG & diff, and it has the superflex pearl on all of them. it just uses the leftover color, without the additives of the other covers. just the colors.

as a matter of fact, i have owned 3 of them, one big bully, one backyard bully, and one velocity colored. the velocity and backyard i drilled the same. same reaction. they are almost identical in every way.

c'mon jabroni, there will always be a "small" difference with two balls anyway because of pin & TW.

That's a great idea you got there...listing all your successful transactions, and unsuccessful ones as well, in your profile.

I can compare notes with all the really decent individuals we have here on Ball Reviews. Good job, man.

PS. I see you have a lot of AMF stuff, as well as some Brunswick and Hammer stuff. Not trying to Hi-jack this post....but what is it you like about the AMF pieces?

i tend to like the AMF balls because when they make a ball to do something, it does it. all ebonites go long and all brunswick roll early. by owning most of the lineup, i have everything i need. they carry very well and i can use any of my 35 releases, lol. also, they don't ever roll out like a lot of other balls i've thrown.
