Columbia laying off
«

Just heard on a San Antonio radio station that due to the decline in the popularity of bowling, they would be laying off hundreds of employees, mostly in manufacturing!
Is this going to have any affect on our AMF gear which is made by Columbia?

No, I'm in San Angelo, Texas, but I listen to KONO (101.1) out of San Antonio on my computer here at work, and that's where I heard it this morning.

I don't believe that Track nor AMF were making their own balls at the time of the "merger"! So that wouldn't be true! The radio's statement was that "due to the decline in the popularity of the sport of bowling . . . "

I sincerely hope not! I'd have to change gear then, to something American made!

I got word today that this is true. I am not sure how many were laid off, but it did happen.
