Hey Monster
If you do a Pin Axis drilling and put the balance hol on your Val above axis pt,you will have a nice smooth arc and a awesome pop on the pins.
That is if you still want a dry lane ball out of your new Titan.
Thanks

It's hard to suggest anything without actually watching your game, even without knowing your exact specs (rotation, tilt, PAP etc.)

Depending on the drilling, surface prep and the style of a bowler, Titan can handle medium-light to medium heavy conditions. You need to have clean backends on heavier side though..

I tried couple of my balls, along with my Titan on 4 different conditions today.
41 feet Shark pattern, 39 feet ABC Masters, 37 and 35 feet sports shots.
Mine is drilled 4X5, box, no hole.
See my profile for my style.

On shorter patterns Titan was awesome. Adjusting with my speed and my release, I could either swing it inside or play next to the gutter. Inside angles seemed better with it. Not a big time skid/snapper for my style, but long and very strong. I had to be very consistent with my release on outside, other wise it was touch jumpy. My highly polished Velocity matched up better there. Does not like carry down, especially on 37feet pattern, I had to switch to my Intense with weaker release/higher speed.

On 39 feet ABC, I found the best and the most consistent way to hit the pocket is down'n shot on 10-13 boards with up the back release. It seemed predictable, long, yet very strong with end-over-end. Perhaps I could use some scuff with gray pad to knock the shine off.

On 41 feet Shark, it fitted well one step below my Intense. Definitely needed to be scuffed to knock the shine off. I would drill it for a bit less flare with pin below my bridge if I was drilling it specifically for this pattern. However, I don't think it will be a proper choice for a higher speed player on this type of condition.

I've also tried my Titan on more "fair" patterns.

It is very important to be more specific when defining "light oil". If you will be drilling it for medium-light THS, I would suggest 5 to 5-1/2 pin PAP distance, pin over fingers. I would kick the CG to the right about 5/8 inches. This will keep the ball legal while giving you enough room for an Xhole to tune the reaction. Ofcourse, you may need to adjust the cover. Probably you will be playing deep inside.

I strongly recommend that an experienced driller should watch your game and drill it accordingly. There are too many, "but"s, "should"s, "depend"s in bowling.

Hope this helps

not to familliar with drillings so dont joke but wouldent a weak drill hit the pocket lighter, i thought a drill to go long would save more energy for the pins.
my speed is from 18-20mph
i am a tweener to slight crank rev rate 400-425
dont have a camera so i couldent post any vids.
by light oil i mean a medium pattern after 1 sometimes 2 mens groups
dont know my pap, val, ect. nor do i know how to find out. can anyone tell me how?

thanks

Monster
Right down the suggests people have given you hear and then take it to your local proshop and speak with them about the individual layouts and have them explain each one to you !! Do not drill something that you do not know about.
I have a Victory SPT drilled Pin Axis and the ball is a monster for any type of condition except no backends.
I have people going nuts about how it rolls, they just can't believe it,but when I shoot 700 on them, they believe then,LOL

monstercrank,
Titan has a symmetrical core and there should be no problem drilling it with standard symmetrical drillings. We have drilled couple of them for different styles and it is very versatile.

Find out your exact specs and pm Pat Nolan. He is a great guy and he can definitely suggest better.
