If you're talking about one of the Hype Pearls, it was a skid/flip ball (tall, thin core with decent amount of flare and highish RG) for medium-light to medium oil for medium revs, medium ball speed bowler. That drilling leans towards a skid/flip type of reaction. So, if your ball speed is greater than your rev rate, that should make the ball less flippy. If you're rev dominant, it would tend toward skid/flippy. If you have lower rev rate, it might be good for a down & in shot.
I think the ball was a great value for the performance offered.
