Found some good deals
« on: May 01, 2003, 08:09:21 PM »
I was looking for a cheap bowling bag online and stumbled upon this site.  I have no association with these folks but they've got a bunch of AMF stuff cheap!

Wow, good find. I personally am not a big fan of AMF but may pick up a couple of these to try them out. Where else can you get NIB balls at used prices?!?

Good prices, but mainly 16 and 12 lb balls.

I would be careful dealing with this person.  When I was at the Lilac Tournament in NY a few weeks back I had a talk to one of the pro shop owners about this very same thing.  From what he tells me the person selling these balls isn't the best person to trust.  Supposedly the balls he is selling "fell off the truck" and I will just leave it at that.

I dealt with that person several times and I don't think his stuff "fell off a truck".  However, I get the impression the seller is not a bowling person.  He look at balls just by type and is not knowledgeable about pins and top weight.  He is a businessman selling a product that just happens to be bowling balls this time.

PS.  I would not be surprised if many proshops are not happy at someone selling balls cheap and would say some negative so people would not buy from low price internet seller.  I have seen it done at the proshop I go to.

hey no offence "XO"

I haven't dealt with him directly...I was just passing on some info that was relayed to me.  If it's not accurate...than so be it!

I bought some balls from him, as well as a few friends. It is true that he is not a "bowling" person, and he admitted as such. He gave us a very good price, and so far the balls I had drilled were top quality. He did his research, got some info from knowledgeable bowlers and wrote down the info on a ball list that he readily showed to anyone who had questions. For the money spent, and the service, it was definitely worth the trip. BTW, he left the current place, and hasn't set up in the new place yet. Also, if you want 15 lb equipment, you are SOl, unless you want a AMF Hawk, the only 15's he has left. 16s and 12 are plenty.
