Found an old friend on eBay: a Ninja Master...
« on: March 12, 2008, 04:56:59 PM »
A guy was advertising a high-mileage Ninja Master this week on eBay and even though I wasn't in the market for a ball, I couldn't pass this up. I'd given my old one away to a beginner bowler a few years ago and knew I shouldn't have the moment it happened. Not that I don't mind giving balls away; I just shouldn't have given THAT one away. Too many memories.

So its replacement came today. It's drilled almost exactly like my other one was drilled. The cover has some games on it, but it's actually in better shape than advertised. I spent an hour and a half digging out the thumb slug it had -- da*n near broke my drill press, DID break a screwdriver but I finally got it out. I'll be plugging it next week and drilling it back.

I can't decide whether to polish it or not (it's not polished at the moment). My house has been on the dry side of average this year and I don't need help getting a ball to hook.

I'm just glad to find this old gem. Now if I can find a reasonably priced Pro XSII, I'll have my old AMF arsenal from 10 years ago reconstructed. (g) I had forgotten how advanced the cores were in the Ninja series until I checked bowlingballreviews.com tonight.
