Since the doctor finally has cleared me to start back bowling i have finally got a chance to throw both of these a little. Both balls are drilled 5 x 3.5 (5x55x30, small 3/4" hole on axis. The Hype has been polished with Rough Buff,Extra shin and Diamond gloss. The Heist Pearl is OOB.
Hype urethane.
Even polished this ball is remarkably strong. Having added polish to this ball i am able to play much closer to the friction than with my prior "weakest" ball (Link). The Hype for me clear So far i have seen the same motion ons the heads easy , it gets great length with a typical smooth backend reaction that urethane gives you. Where this ball really shines is in it's hitting power. It carries light hits as well as resin and loves high flush. I plan on drilling another soon and leaving it in OOB so i can move in the oil and swing to the dry without the over reaction of resin at the wood house i bowl tournaments at.
Heist Pearl
This ball reminds me quite a bit of the old Aftershock Pearl. As to be exprcted this ball gets great length It has a strong arcing backend movement without being flippy. So far both times i have thrown this ball the lanes have been very broken down. The ease whith which this ball gets through the heads was a very pleasant suprise. Once i get a few more games on these 2 pieces i will right a full review.
On just a quick note i've thrown about 6 shots so far with my Clutch Pearl. I have not seen enough head oil to get a grasp on where it will fit in the arsenal.I like what I have seen so far on far from ideal conditions considering how strong this ball is
