I finally bought a RADAR!
« on: March 27, 2006, 06:53:26 AM »
Hi!

After a lot of reflection and reading I finally choosen the AMF RADAR. Every review of this ball are good. I'm sure I will love it cause I play since 12 years with an AMF NINJA that go far on lane and have strong backend (on dry-medium lane). The RADAR should do this too but on medium-oiled lane. I played in a tournament this weekend and my NINJA doesn't performed like on medium lane. It was difficult to have the final strong backend. I decided to buy another one today and I choosen the RADAR over the Supreme Justice Pearl. Hope I made the good choice. I will have it friday.

I think that if you added some knee bend that it would help to get rid of the "hop". I also hopped when I was younger and adding more knee bend helped me to overcome it. Until you're used to sliding with your foot a little more to the right, you may fall off balance at the line a few times. One way to overcome this is to really concentrate on having your center of gravity over your slide foot. That's easier to achieve when you are lower to the ground and utilizing a knee bend. You can still lift through the ball at the bottom of the swing, so don't be afraid that you'll lose hit on the ball.

By the way, that ball reacts great for you! Good luck!

Walking E, yes I need to slide a little more to the right. I practiced it few minutes ago (just the approach) and I bended my knee a little more and slided more to the right it was way more "confortable".

I jump like this since  A LOT of time but I know it since only few weeks. I play with my mother and grandmother each friday afternoon (my grandmother is so good, she play 200+ often, she's 73 years old, she play with a Track Voodoo) and its her that said to me that I jump after my shot. I didn't realized it before this time.

Thank you for your helpfull input! Next time I will have a better view to see all my strike and better view on the ball on the lane (how it react).
