Hello AMF
I have recently been throwing the new "Brunswick" C-Systems 2.5 and the 3.5 and I have been thinking about getting the "Brunswick" SIEGE for a heavier oil ball.
However, long story short, I'll be ordering my first AMF ball tomorrow and that will be the Mega Recovery...

I pretty much throw most name brands and like them all...

I have the 3.5 and 2 Mega Recovery's and love them both..
My feeling is you will be very happy with your first AMF ball..

Roto Grip.. King of Them All!!
Storm ain't so bad either!! LOL
I also like AMF/900 Global..

What type of drilling would you suggest for mine, it has a 3"-4" pin. I'll be primarily using it for a THS shot at where I bowl. Thanks

Unless your one of the few houses that uses oil for a THS you will be polishing your mega recovery

Thanks tekneek, Maybe I'll try the 'Pin' over the ring finger drill. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Agree 100% with tekneek I drilled one with a 4.5 pin, drilled it 45*5.5*47 and at OOB I couldnt get it right of 15 on THS, took up to 4000 abarlon and its alot more usable now

unless you are rev handicapped, you'd better go pin up, not sure pin down with rev challenged bowler would burn too soon at box.

I once heard that if you go pin up you actually create a stronger midlane read with less back end reaction? The reason is when you put pin above the fingers then drill the finger holes you are removing alot of the diff out of the ball because you are drill out the top of the core? So if you want a ball with stronger back end motion you should drill below the fingers so your not lowering your diff?
On another note would you say the MR has a snappy backend polished or more arcy? Thanks.

then again it depends on how deep you drill in the finger holes !! If you don't hit the core you don't change the values.

This is higly debatable. I get less midlane much more backend out of pin up drills. I see no difference in flare between a pin up or pin down that i have noticed.

What is sandbagging???

I threw the ball tonight in league and I left it OOB to test it. I was on the house's worst pair (lane 1/2) but for the first two games the ball was simply amazing.
However, in the first game I did leave some back to back to back pocket 9 pins :-) so I'm looking forward to this Friday nigh when I will be on a good fresh pair.

Oops, btw, the ball is as powerful as everyone said it was....great stuff!

I don't want to high jack this thread but I think it's a matter of opinion because its a fact if you drill out the core and remove the diff you will lessen your back end reaction. But it's perceived that pin up's have more motion down the lane.
