Wasn't the Nighthawk back when Ebonite was making AMF equipment?  How are they going to match coverstocks?

Yes the NightHawk is coming back. As far as the coverstock goes Columbia made the orginal Nighthawk, so there will be no issues getting that right. I was at Bowl Expo also and saw the ball on display. I was told it should be coming out around November.

Not to hijack my own thread but did Columbia make the coverstock for the Ti-Hawk also?

It was a combination of both.  The idea was kicked around for several months and we finally got the green light.

I hope it isnt tweaked at all. Same ball same color!!!! I have been asking for the ball for the past year on AMF300.com. If this ball does actually come out, I guess I could go ahead and finally drill up one of my original NIB. It is always nice to have 2 NIB original Nighthawks sitting in the corner!!!

I hope it really is a go this time.  I was told it was going to be remade about two years ago.

the really key to it's success will be the price range it's in.
if it's a mid price point,  i think the ball will do well.  but when columbia brought back the cuda a few years ago,  it was in the high price range.  and we did not sell it well.

hoping for that $159 price point.

I have 4 original Nighthawks currently drilled, one in brand condition just waiting to be drilled and 2 NIB, and all I can say is this is the most versitile ball I have EVER thrown. With or without surface. Even in original 1000 wet sand box finish this ball still clears the fronts with ease and is very very angular down lane, even on today's heavier oils. Great ball cant wait to buy a case of the new ones!!!

why not bring all of the nighthawk series bowling balls back??
i remember that at one time, we had 9 different nighthawk models on display.
