I got some news from a reliable source and he said that this thing might be better than the Activator from Brunswick. He said that AMF can change the molecular structure slightly and get get totally two different reaction. I cann't wait (not an AMF fan) but can't wait to see this one.

Supposedly able to hook on anything! ball litterly creates it's own friction.

Wouldn't this be a Columbia coverstock since
they make AMF's stuff?

Aw c'mon, Jeff. It's not like you to say something like that without thinking.
Friction is one aspect of the physical interface between two objects. The other object is the lane surface and it is covered with an amount of a type of oil. The amount and the type and the surface are 3 other independent factors involved in this equation. So you were saying ....

Fine Let me re-phrase that" This ball creates more friction that most balls can dream of.

I have some questions related to this recent discussion and the Titan:

1) Does anyone know if this new coverstock will be used on the Titan?

2) Does anyone have any information about the Titan? All I see is the picture and specs on bowlingballreviews.com. Has anyone thrown this ball, or seen it thrown? Any idea what the retail price point will be?

3) Has the Titan core been used in any other AMF ball?

I'll admit to being very swayed by the look of this ball, which I think is outstanding.

You weren't unlucky when you left that corner pin, so shut up about it already!!

Its say mid priced so I expect it to be cheaper than the Triumph line, which is their master or top line..

If they only made a ball that would carry that d*mn 10 pin..

Not the Titan.

Read the description tried and true coverstock with a core that looks a lot like the Detour Formula core!

However the Velocity lists a new coverstock.  Not sure that is this radical new coverstock.

Born2Bowl,

Tell us about exhibition.  What did you see?

What was amazing about it?  How was it different from other balls you've seen before in movement and reaction?

I saw the new AMF and Columbia Balls at IPBSIA.  Their new covers are supposedly more like an Epoxy than a urethane resin.  Amaletto, Duke, Voss, and many others were bowling with the new epoxy cover ball.  They were all throwing the ball and what everyone was talking about was that the new material made the ball roll out about ten to fifteen feet before the pins. It was actually embarrassing.

The new material apparently creates a tremendous amount of friction (epoxy is like a clear resin bar top? I think?).  No one I was standing with was impressed with the early roll with no back end.  Maybe it is the future if they figure out how to keep it from rolling out at mid lane.  Right now, however it appears they have a long way to go.  Mostly marketing hype, nothing impressive.
