Got my league money back, and decied to try some A.M.F. stuff since nobody here has any, so I got the Villain and drilled it like this:
http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll5/juggernaut_too/Bowling%20balls/0515092122.jpg It's a great ball, but stronger than expected, and I still needed a "go to" ball for dried up heads. Enter Eric Thomas and his suggested Orbit Extreme.
Really liking lower pin setups, I drilled the O.E. like this:
http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll5/juggernaut_too/Bowling%20balls/OrbitExtreme.jpg I am here to tell you now, these two balls make a great pair to use in conjunction with each other. When the Villain gets to be too much ball or too early reading, I can switch to the O.E. and move back into the track area and continue to just whack stuff.
First night I had the O.E., I bowled three games with some friends of mine on a pair that had a few games on them already. Played the Villain with my feet on 22 over 12 at the arrows, out to 6-7 at the breakpoint, and watched it carry everything I threw correctly for a 223.
Wanting to try the Orbit Extreme, as soon as I saw the Villain get a bit aggressive, I pulled it out. Moved my feet right about five boards, targeted the 9 board out to 4-5 at the breakpoint and watched as it took over where the Villain left off for a 276.
Last game, I stayed with the O.E., and found it's weakness. I pulled a couple of shots inside of target and watched it slide far too much. Still hit the pocket, but was tenpin city. Hit my mark=STRIKE, pull it=WRAP 10. Finished out the last game with 243.
Had a few guys come ask what I was throwing. When they found out, they said things like "I thought all they made anymore was junk". A couple also said "I may just have to get me one of those".
The "GUYS" in San Antonio are doing some good things.
