Title: Nighthawk
Post by: SKC on November 18, 2005, 10:32:06 PM

Does anybody have some kind of picture of the core in the Nighthawk?

And does anyone know if AMF300 has anything similar in their current lineups?

Thanks

Track had the havoc with same core...stronger coverstock.

It wasn't a hit in box but polished it was a real winner that many top bowlers really performed well with!

Unfortunately nowhere is the nighthawk original displayed that I can find but I can assure you if you go to the Nighthawk line...the torques...the Evolution line...you will see virtually the same looking core with slight tweaks.

And then Del Warren took some of his favorite cores over to track when he went from AMF.(sister companies of the columbia/track/amf fold)

Thanks for all the help..

I did a bit of digging myself.. I couldn't find a pic of the Nighthawk core.. But i did find one of the Nighthawk Revenge Pearl.. And to me the core looks more like the one in the Sheer Havoc than that of the regular Havoc..

The revenge weightblock is not even close to the original. The havoc block was similar to the Nighthawk but was slightly modified. The original Nighthawk is alot better ball then the Havoc. I currently have 5 of the originals drilled and 2 NIB. I really wish AMF would remake this ball, it is a great performer on alot of todays conditions.

I have owned ALL of the new AMF equipment since the Triumph line, plus alot of the angle and hawk line, and they have not made a ball comparable to the original black Nighthawk yet!!! The Nighthawk is still my benchmark ball and I currently carry 3 with different surfaces in my arsenal now. This is truly a GREAT ball that needs to be brought back exactly the same. Especially since they still make the solid super-flex coverstock. If you get a chance go to AMF300.com and go to the forum boards and voice your opinion about bringing the ball back there is already alot of people who have written in asking for it.

I know it's the wrong forum, but i've got a 15lb single drill night hawk in excellent shape that i'd be willing to trade for almost any heavy oiler. especially amf. lmk what you've got. oh btw it's drill pin under ring, mb strong, just right of thumb. lmk what you've got.
