Not good for bowling

I really don't care if someone is an Ebonite fan or not, the way this whole purchase of Columbia and the effect on several ball companies, the lack of information being distributed, and so on, is NOT good for bowling in general.  I don't care IF Ebonite has future plans for the Columbia, Track, and Dynothane brands, the others that are now out in the cold hunting a home, with anticipated releases being cancelled, and with no word on the future of other brands, has been absolutely mishandled from the git-go!

And people wonder why bowling is having so much difficulty surviving as a sport?  Ebonite's handling of all of this is a perfect example of why!

yep,what will happen to ebonite if brunswick decides to take the prices down on there equipment starting with all there plastic balls????Ebonite may be in some trouble...just a thought

Why are you placing all the blame on Ebonite? Columbia employees found out about the buyout in an email and had to research the internet to get any details. No formal announcement, meeting...anything. I think Ebonite probably left that part up to Columbia, assuming they would take care of it.

Why on Ebonite?  Because THEY are the controller of the whole deal!  Once the deal is done, it is Ebonite who is in total control!  They made NO effort to be prepared to answer all questions as to what will happen to the brands they were purchasing and now in control of!  The lack of leadership and management is coming from EBONITE!  Prior to the sale, you may blame Columbia, however, I'm quite sure they were on a "gag order" from Ebonite until the details were worked out.  Where did the initial press release come from?  It came from Ebonite.  So once again, exactly who do you THINK should be blamed?  It all falls back on EBONITE!
