The Pure
« on: March 15, 2015, 01:46:22 PM »

Layout: 60 X 5 X 40 no weight hole
Lane condition: 41' THS
Rev Rate: 375-400
Ball in out of box finish

The Pure's strong cover handles the heavier patterns with a smooth continuous motion in the backend. The core revs easily in the midlane. The motion seems to fit players with higher rev rates because of its transition downlane and it does not give the "sideways" motion. Lower rev rates may have to use more surface for longer/heavier patterns.  The Pure is a must add to the bag for the USBC Open Championships in El Paso.

I would love to see a pearl version of this ball in the future.

I have No experience with the Pure, but had the Incinerate and still carry it with me when playing on heavier patterns.  I bought this ball specifically to try out at a MOtion Hole drilling, and new that i needed a strong core/cover due to my extrememly high axis tilt and med/high axis rotation.

The ball came with only a 1" pin though, but i wasnt to worry as it was just that, an experiment.  So i put the pin below bridge which is about 3 7/8" pin to pap and the cg directly on the grip centerline.  Marked the spot with tape for where the MOtion hole was to be placed, and threw it prior to any balance hole.  And WOW!!!!! What a dissapointment.... I knew the the lanes werent at all fresh.  But this ball was flaring 5-6" yet not moving at all.   But the good news, was i only had to adjust the tape 1/2" left so as to be flare safe.  Back to the press.  Started mild... 13/16" x 3.5".
WOW!!!!  What a difference...  I was shocked.  It now had three distinct phases of motion.  And went through the pins well, but still knew there was more to be gained.  Et all, i went with a 1" hole 4" deep and as long as i keep the cover fresh and dont let it get too much lane shine this ball is killer.
Glad i took the plunge and was willing to experiment.
