Shred/IT review

Shred/IT

I drilled my Shred/IT 5 ½ x 4, with a P3 weight hole.  This ball had a long pin with a lot of top weight so I had to add a weight hole.  We spun this ball after drilling to find the true mass bias to layout the P3 hole and I highly recommend doing this with any symmetric core ball as the mass bias can do funny things after you put holes in them.  The mass bias ended up a few inches away from where I would have thought it would be and this ball might not roll as well if the weight hole was in a different spot.

I’ve tested this ball out on quite a few conditions now, THS on high friction HPL, 46 foot flat pattern on old HPL, and USBC White pattern on new Pro Anvilane.  On all of these patterns the Shred/IT gave me an early, strong read of the midlane, with a smooth continuous back end motion.  On all of these patterns it was about 3-2 stronger then my Break Out, and 2-1 stronger then my Raw Profit.

The place this ball has shined the most so far was on the 46 foot flat, and the house shot.  On the brutal 46 foot flat pattern this ball gave me a predictable ball motion on the fresh that was very hard to come by.  And on the house shot on HPL this gave me an excellent look on the fresh as it smoothed out the backends, and the typical overreaction to the outsides.

Also, when compared to the Shredder, this ball is just about the polar opposite.  The Shredder was all about a strong move off of the dry, and a skid flip type motion.  The Shred/IT is all about strong, even midlane roll, and smooth continuous backend.

I also hope to have a video up next week for the Shred/IT.  I have not been able to get any good footage shot yet.  If you have any questions about this ball just let me know.

Thanks,
Erik V.

Nice review...I am really liking this ball alot.  It has control and strength which imo makes for a good piece to have in the bag.  I Rico'd mine and it's perfect!  Would like to see your video if you get it one done.
