Original Night Hawk question?
« on: February 12, 2005, 09:18:22 AM »
A friend of mine gave me his NightHawk.
When was this ball released?

I had one when they first came out, but for the life of me can't remember much about the ball. Or why I got  rid of it.

Any info would be appreciated. Coverstock, core-type, type of conditions it handles.

Thanks,

FWIW I believe Drrev has nailed it.

The Track Havoc is NOT the same ball the coverstock is different and the weightblock has been slightly modified. THe original Nighthawk was released in 1998 with the Superflex coverstock and an assymetrical weightblock. I currently own 9 of the original black ones 2 still NIB. What weight is the one you have and do  you want to sell it. If so PM me and let me know what the specs are.

Doc

I cant agree with you more!!! This is the reason I went on a buying spree to pick these up when I can, I actually traded a NIB TNT for a NIB Black Nighthawk in November. I currently have two 16lb NIB and I will not drill them until my current used ones go bad, I just want to always make sure that I have one of these in my arsenal. I to wish they would remake this ball, this ball plays GREAT on a variety of conditions. I am a huge AMF supporter, but they still to this day have NEVER made a ball that reacts in the midlane anywhere close to the original Nighthawk. . Doc if you get a chance go to the AMF300 website and voice your opinion on the message forum, we have been begging and pleading for months. My only concern if they do bring it back that they dont change a thing and just leave it alone. Just my 2 cents worth
