Curious as to how it works and what it compares to.

In my opinion with this release AMF is taking over the entry level equipment without competition.

The Orbit Extreme is the most aggressive entry level ball out there on the market. This ball has the Track Revmaster weight block in it w/o the extra flip block. Very nice ball to use when the heads are breaking down and experience some carry down. Great ball for any house with wet/dry conditions for a person that is stroker/cranker.

SMall wonder. It's an awfully reminiscent of the Track Desert Heat.

Charlest,

do you think that would be the only reason I would say that about the Orbit Xtreme?

Is the cover on the Desert Heat (Power Plus EX Reactive) the same as Super Flex or are the covers different?

The numbers are a little different also:

Desert Heat RG 2.57 Diff 0.020
Orbit Xtreme RG 2.49 Diff 0.035

Hey Drrev2000 and others!
I apologize for not elaborating on the Orbit Extreme. Before they changed the ball having the Heat core, it was the Revmaster core. Every company decides to change covers or weight blocks before it goes into mass production. As far as  specs go, you are not even close. You probably don't even know when they fill in the cores, it changes every balls' rg and diff. If you have any questions contact AMF300 or myself. HEY JS, IT IS HAS THE SUPERFLEX COVER.

The Desert Heat didn't have the "plain" Super-Flex coverstock, I believe.
The core specs rarely tell the whole story. BTM's review indicate that the Orbit Extreme handles mediums a little bit better than the DH. (Power PLus Ex is closer(, if not identical) to   Enahanced Super-Flex., but with this degre eof polish and these cores, it made little difference.

The picture I see is that these balls and their "raison d'etre" (reason for existence) are close enough to occupy the same position in the marketplace. I suspect the AMF price will be lower than the Track price, in the internet market anyway.

By the way, you can also compare the overall ball to the Columbia Panic, which used SUperFlex pearl, medium-low RG and very little flare.

Additionally, if you accidentally drill any of these balls too strong, just sand the cover to 2000 or 4000 grit and polish it up.

You one funny guy, Carl.

Now why would I think that? Nope, I didn't. I thought you saw a good ball and did what comes naturally: compliment it.
