Remake of the Bull Whip rumor?
« on: April 24, 2005, 11:26:44 PM »
Anyone heard this? Anyone know of any details?
I thought the original was made by Ebonite for AMF, just before Columbia started manufacturing them for AMF, starting with the Whiplash solid and pearl which were SUperFlex coverstocks.

There was an original Bull Whip on ebay last week, it shows the box, and it was an Ebonite sticker type with the specs on it. I have not heard of a remake....yet.

Columbia cannot reproduce the durapac coverstock that Ebonite used to produce the BW for Amf.

Durapac?
I had no idea of the coverstocks back then.
What other balls was it used on? WHips?

The Heat is the only remake I have ever seen or heard of that was exactly what the previous one was.

Yep, that's King of the mill's shop alright (well not HIS, but where he works)...wow, I don't even want to think how much time I've spent there in the last year or so!

Durapac 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 where the internal names for ebonites` original reactive urethane blends.  They were used on all the old stuff up until the Blue Wolf (with exception of the "Acryllium" balls)

All of the old Amf balls (ninja's, legacys, whip's, amforce's) used Ebonite covers with a mocked up name.

Reactathane III was Durapac 1.

Looks like there is another one up for bid.

Thanks, rk.

I'm sure the new one will go for at least as much as the previous one.
