I just bought my son the Orbit Extreme sky blue.  He just made 11 and he's a junior bowler and has been bowling just 1 year.  I had a deal with him that when he gets his first 200 game, I will get him a ball of his choice.  He bowed a 203 3 weeks ago, so that day, we went into the proshop and asked the operator to recommend a ball for him.  He suggested this ball and my son said ok.  Out of all the pretty pearl balls that he could choose from, plus his friend just picked up a "pretty" Twisted Fury, I was surprised that he wanted the Orbit Extreme.  He just got it this past Thursday and threw a few practice games with it and he just loves it!  Very nice ball reaction, much stronger that his Tropical Storm, and the ball hits very hard.  He has a 119 average, and his first game was a 124.  Finished with a 155, 160, and a 179, all way above his average.  I'm glad that he made a choice based on the proshop operators opinion (I showed him some of the reviews on this ball and other balls as well) and not just wanting to get a ball with "flash".  Now I got to get him a 2 ball bag.

That was a pretty good choice by your son.  This ball is a great reacting and hitting ball for the price.  I fear that if he would of gotten twisted or anything else high priced that it would of been to much for a younger bowler.  I think this should keep working great for him to develop him further.

its a very under rated ball, does not get alot of publicity as the high end equipment, but you have enough game Ryan to make most anything look good in your hands !!!!!!

Orbit Xtreme is a great ball.  The epitome of smooth and predictable.  People that avoid "entry-level" balls because they think they are for beginners are really missing out on some great stuff.

Have you been cleaning the ball after every usage?  What about a hot water bath or a session in the rejuvenator?
