It's urethane, and it's already at 4000 abralon.  My experience is that true urethane balls don't shine up very well?  Are you asking about a pearl urethane, or do you have another ball to use as a reference point?

I have one and find it really, really hard to believe this ball was P4000 grit out of the box. It took me a long time and lots of different abrasives and polishes to get it smoothed out.  I accepted that it was P4000 and only used liquid abrasive-containing polishes to do the job. It is still pretty early and actually handles some carrydown.

Try some Storm Xtra Shine polish on it. That was the one that worked best on this ball for me. Brunswick Rough Buff is another compound that has the potential to work well on this ball because it is so aggressive. This time even, Beans's Secret Sauce didn't make a dent in this coverstock.

Mine almost looks like it is at the point where it will begin to shine but I don't want that much length on it, as it fits nicely just above my Desperado right now.

FYI with pin above the center of the bridge I'm getting 3-4" of flare fromt he darned thing. Glad I drilled it that weakly. It ain't weak.

The Hype Urethane is 100% urethane.  This is why its so difficult to polish, true urethane balls have never been easy to put a shine on.  There are no plans at this point to produce a polished urethane ball.  The typical reaction you should experience is grab in the front and then smooth sailing the rest of the way.  Its going to be hard to get it to not pick up in the heads.
