Going to be drilling one up this week, just wanted to get some info on what you have thought of this ball. Also what kind of layouts and surfaces have worked for you. Thanks

I love this ball!  I have it drilled pin over ring, no weight hole, and it's long and smooth with a very nice pop on the back end.  This ball is the first ball out of the bag and the most consistant for mediums.

I second that.  I can't believe how good this ball is...

My surface is 1000 abr with a light coat of Storm Reacta-shine.

I needed a new medium control piece and for what it cost it was worth a try. Haven''t decided on the layout yet, probably my old stand by 5 1/2 pin down.

That is what I have on my creature.. it was a toss up between the villain and the creature but was told they are pretty close to the same but the creature was a little smoother..
I have a 1" pin with the pin at center grip.. 5 1/2 pin to pap..

Super smooth for medium-medium light conditions.. hardly a jump ever off dry..
allows me to play in and up the dry and not have the ball burn up or jump left early..

I concur...while it's not the first ball out of my bag due to the oil volume, its my go to ball once the track area opens up.

Has anyone taken the cover down to 1000 Abralon and used on say a med-heavy shot?  I love the smooth consistent reaction of my Villain...would love to have that look on the fresh pattern.

My Villain is drilled similar to a rico with the pin a little higher than normal.

With this drill and the Villain sanded at 1000 or 2000 the ball gets into a really early roll, so smooth and predictable.

I bowled a tourney last year with some pretty heavy oil and the Villain hands down had the best read of any of my balls that day.  My Cell Pearl(sanded @2000) and Rival(sanded @4000) just sat there and spun, never turned over and drove to the pocket.  The Villain was so predictable and rolly it was perfect for that condition.  If there is any friction up front it does tend to set up to early so I polished it so I can use it in league.

Keep in mind that is doesn't cover a ton of boards but it can be very useful on heavier/longer patterns.  Reminded me alot of my original Cell(pin over ring)

I love mine.  I had it drill weak pin over bridge CG kicked out a bit and was really smooth.

Drilled stacked it is still smooth I'd say but for a smooth ball it really makes a hard arc.

I can't seem to find the joy in throwing my Maniac that I do in my Villain.  I am selling the Maniac to make the way for the purchase of another Villain.  That is ofcourse if my Hype reactive doesn't work out.

I drilled this ball 4 1/2 X 3 with a 7/8 X 2 1/2 hole 1in down my val. This is pretty strong for me and the ball was great out of box. I shot 300 first night out with it and really haven't thrown it much since. It was almost skid flip with oob surface. I am going to play with the surface to try to fit it into my arsenal because it does roll really well but I think it would do much better with more surface.

I got my Villain a few weeks back, had Tekneek drill it up for me and I would definitely agree, the ball makes a smooth continuous arc.  On our current low volume short pattern this ball and my RG Mercury are the only two balls I can be consistent with.

I really miss having it.  It was just nice to go down and punch one up without having to leave the house.  Lest I say I will be having another here soon!

the volume here must be low, because mine (pictured above) is pretty strong on our THS.

I like it, smooth and predictable, but surprisingly strong. Left it at box finish, but probably wouldn't hurt to go with a finer grit and polish to let me use it more often.
