Don't get me wrong, I am just curious how magical this new coverstock will be.  Trust me it will be fun to see a ball hook 80 boards.

I originally heard it would be a light blue, and once it turned dark blue (as it soaked up oil after about 100-150 games) it would be time to resurface.  Then it'd be light blue again, and you'd get another 50 or so games out of it, then it'd turn dark blue, and you'd resurface again to light blue to get another 25 or so games out of it, then throw it away! Don't know how true that story was, but that's what I read!

I agree, the weight block is more important than the color!

I remember Pat Nolan saying that this ball will NOT be skid-snap but will be very very arcy in nature, ...still strong...but arcy and controlled almost!

From what I heard... it will be the Triumph cores in the new Epoxy balls. Great matchup of the core & covers.

are you kidding???!?!?!!!

particles were an awesome breakthrough!!! as you said, all of the new covers gave more friction in dry and particle finally gave friction in oil. it took the flip out of the ball and gave you a little more control due to the arc.

particle is very useful and make sure i have at least 2 in my bag at all times. i do wish they lasted longer though!

How much did they increase scores? Both reactive and urethane led to score increases in the 10's, 20's and 30's. Did particle do this? I haven't found a particle that has reacted particularly different than any solid reactive. In fact, particles have been around for a long time, the orange dots are considered particle bowling balls.

And to correct bigearv, everything attempts to hook in oil, it is that some people believe particle hooks in oil more than other coverstocks. Take a 400 grit solid reactive and tell me that doesn't hook in oil though.

Yellow Dot's???  Don't you mean the Orange Dot?  Also some of the LT-48's were supposed to have some sort of particle incorporated into he shell as well.

Good call... I'm a little foggy about all those damn dots... yellow, red, orange, polka, pick a goddamn color and stick with it is what I always used to say.

i have a vicious attack dull and a fusion hook monster dull. the fusion starts hooking at my feet. the vicious still clears the heads and hooks in dry. maybe particle wasn't a breakthough for many, but for high rev, high speed bowlers such as myself, particle is the only thing i can find to hook off my hand. no matter the grit of a reactive, it still clears the heads clean for me, even after a league shot.
