Specs on AMF Triumph...
« on: January 30, 2005, 01:17:16 PM »
I just picked up a AMF Triumph on eBay for $60.
I found out it's a particle ball, with an Excalibur wt. block.
Anybody know if it's heavy or light load? Is it an aggressive ball?

Any other info, would be appreciated big time.

On AMF's site, I found it listed in archived equipment, nothing much written up about it.

Is it a heavy oil ball?

Thanks,

Duke -  You will love this ball !! This is a light load particle ball, with a great weightblock. It gets down the lane pretty good (clean through the fronts), with a real strong movement in the backends. The Triumph AMP was made to get down the lane more than the Triumph, and the TNT was made to move earlier... so what you have is a great ball for the awesome price that you got it for. This is a great ball for the mediums-medium heavy lanes. You will definitely enjoy this ball.

Michael,
Thanks for the response. I was going to buy a Lehends Yeah Baby, or Big Kahuna, until I saw the Triumph on eBay...it looked like a great ball. I never thought I would steal it for $60.00. Shipping was $16.00. My driller charges $20.00. Can't beat the $96.00 price. Sounds promising. I was looking for a ball for tournaments, that had medium oil. My natural speed is about 18-19 mph. So I may match up well with this ball.

Duke I will just chime in here I got one of these and just love the ball. Only thing is that cover is very strong for me. I have to keep some major shine on it to get it down the lane in my league here. If they use heavier oil in your league may not be a problem. Other than that I think this ball has great carry and a nice looker as well. Hope you enjoy it. H

I have good speed. I bought the ball for tournaments. Don't bowl league much, except subbing for friends. The look of the ball really caught my eye, at first.
Shipped and drilled for $96.00, can't beat it.

I got one and I love it. Haven't been able to throw it much. Not enough oil. I am a high tracker with medium revs. The ball has the pin on top of the ring with the cg kicked out about an inch mass bias in the strong position. It should work great on medium/heavy. I've had great success with AMF. Enjoy!
