anyone try the Valor P yet?
« on: December 07, 2002, 06:40:38 AM »
If so do you really man know what its like?  I hear it resin, then particle, then resin, then partice, what the heck is it?  What does this "p" stand for, particle or pearl?

Anyway, looks to be similar to a pearl beast with mica (except Valor P has the nugget and superflex).  Both have similar rg and diff and same core shape.  Has anyone thrown both and if so are they similar, different?

What's the scoop on this ball?

well, i read somewhere that p is for pearl. Its mica. My buddy that owns it says its for particle, but i dont believe him.

It almost liek the spirit-have read light load particle, and some say reactive resin-who knows.

BUT

i can tell to id a mid hooking ball, but rolls great. Lots of people in detroit are throwing it and all loving it. My buddy bought one and had 300 first game with it.

Yeah, it just looks all too similar to a beast pearl with mica.  I had one of those and that thing hooked more more than I thought it would.  Just wondered if people have tried the valor/p and what they thought of it in comparison to the pearl beast with mica, the recent ones not the first editions.

I've thrown the Pearl Beast with mica, the solid Beast with Mica, and the Valor/P with two different layouts. It's a Super Beast. It hooks more than the Pearl Beast did. Good hit and carry. I loaned it once to a high-rev big-hooking pup in my league once (out of pity - everything he had was jumping and his mild stuff was in the other car which was in the shop yada yada yada). Poor guy was averaging 220+ in league but had about 310 after two games. He pulls the tape out of thumbhole, then goes front 7 with the ball. YOU NEED THIS BALL PCHEE2. It will give you some control (which you are lacking)
Didn't act at all like a particle ball. You should buy 5 of them and replace the oranges on the roof of your truck.
