New Titan and Velocity Cores
« on: July 10, 2004, 03:23:57 AM »
The new Titan core looks an awful lot like the one in the original Columbia "ROCK"!  Almost identical.

And the new Velocity core is very similar to the Victory/R.

I really like the core of the Velocity.  Looks a lot like the Nighthawk core.  The main part is the same, but the old "power ring" is now more of a bulge.  Who knows about the cover?  What I've seen of the Triumph series has been positive.  Good looking ball without 14 labels.

Honestly, people!

That core is an AMF special, thought up and developed by them a while back. Check out the original Cold Fusion, a resin pearl, developed, as far as I recall, by Del Warren, or when he was in charge of AMF bowling balls. See

The Victory/R was just a renaming of the Cold Fusion.

No other ball ever had that core before, nor since, except AMF balls. I also appears to have a definite mass bias. I imagine the densities were adjusted somewhat for the slightly different actual numbers of RG and Differential.

Are there any balls out there with the Titan core? I didn't see anything with the large bulge in the middle and tapered ends like this.

That core is from the old Black Rage.  It looks like we have the Black Pearl Rage all over again, pearl superflex withh the same core.

I have the core from the Rage in my house.  I separated it from the shell of the rage personally.  I'm telling you its the same shape.  They might have switched up densities and took out the ceramic pieces or whatever, but  its the same shape.

Well since columbia never attaches the flip blocks to the core, its pretty hard to get them out in one piece.
