Drilled this ball with cg in the center of my grip and the pin right of the ring finger approximately 4.5 inches from PAP.  (Straight up label)

Out of the box this ball skidded a bit farther than I expected so I used a green scotch-bright pad to remove the out of the box sheen.  Ball then seemed to roll earlier and transition to a nice arc.

This ball seems to have a nice roll with a very predictable break point.  Very easy to read with good transition to the head pin.

In a recent tournament the first three games of qualifying were 256, 256 and 256 for a triplicate.  The tournament shot had an out of bounds area from the 10 board out to the channel so if I played in that area I needed a ball that would roll early and arc to the pocket.  The Fantasy X was the third ball I tried during practice and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a good read on the lanes with a good reaction in the back end.

The Fantasy X was the only ball I used during the entire tournament, which consisted of 10 games qualifying, and 16 head to head match games in the finals.  I was able to play outside as well as inside boards and the ball transitioned well from one shot to the next.  Carry down caused the ball to not transition as quickly as I would have liked but by manipulating my speeds I was able to over come the carry down.

In 24 games 85-90 percent of the light hits seem to carry.  One thing I noticed is the pins seem to stay low and mix with light hits. I throw an average speed of 15 to 16 mph and even with this speed, messenger pins were very common; high flush hits were 10 in the pit.

This is a great ball from AZO!

POSitivly the greatest ball ever made by AZO thus far...I have the ball drilled pin above my fingers and 12 o clock and cg in my palm...I shot a series of 867 with this ball 278 300 289 and numerous other great games with this ball...I like to keep this ball factory polished and then after that I do not ever touch the surface it gets down the lane great and then has a decent break towards the head pin...Ball can be used on any condition...to prove that I shot 290 at Junior Olympic Gold on a very tough shot people would agree... BUt for anybody who wants a hard hitting ball that gets down the lane great this is the ball for you

I'm a sucker for a good deal and couldn't resist when buddies pro shop blew these out for $50. I'm just sorry I couldn't buy more! The ball came with a 3 1/2 pin out and weighted in at 15lbs 15oz with 4oz of top weight.

I had mine drilled strong for max flare according to the drill sheet. Boy, does this thing go left. I was bowling on ths which is med-heavy 10 to 10 and lighter blend out to the channel out to about 36(?) ft. Played 20 to ten at the arrows swinging the shot out to 5 about 25 ft down the lane. Once it caught the back end, it was all full speed ahead to the pocket. Shot 256 with it in practice wrapped with a 230 and 228. I was totally impressed with the reaction and carry of this ball.

The two people bowling next to me were using a variety of name brand balls using the same line as I was and just didn't seem to have the same type of carry that I had. I wanted to make sure that i wasn't playing a wall shot, I moved into the middle of the lane and deliberately played into the oil. Stood on 25 to 15 at the arrows swing the ball out to ten. Again, as soon as it reached the backend, it was all over..

Keep looking... I'm sure there's a 300 in one of those balls you keep buying!!

After my Yeah Baby, this ball is my favorite one!! I use it since one year and this ball is still hooking a lot and hitting like a truck!  When I received it, it was polished and I used it for a couple of month until the coverstock was very bad because of very big scratchs.  I sanded it and I left it on 600 grit sandpaper.  It gave the ball a second life and I still use it with this finish.  It my first ball out of my bag to try to read the lane.  I love this ball because it gives me so much carry!  Usually, I use it for two games and then I switch to my red fire...

Good job AZO

Yo...been waiting awhile to post this.
15#- 3oz. top wgt
3"pin
Small wgt. hole on the PAP
Drilled this ball pin over the bridge, and cg swung towards the PAP, 1.5" It's an early roll drilling, that I like using, especially on pearls. Thought I'd try it on this one and see what'd happen. Got this ball before Christmas from Buddie's Pro shop. So glad I did. I had been practicing with it on Guardian lanes, in it's out-of-box condition...polished. It was okay, nothiing special. I had some good practice sessions, and some bad. It seemed to be very over-under in reaction, with a lot of built-in length. Just could never get a good feel for it. Finally took it to my driller, and told him to take the surface down to 800 matte. Got rid of the factory polish. Bathed it good in Doc's Magic Elixir, and took it out for a spin last nite.
Used it in one of my tougher league bowling houses. One where there is no right wall at all. They take away 10 to the gutter on the right side, and give you spotty oil conditions in the middle. Originally this ball hated my releases, but in this new, matte condition, it suddenly came alive. I was very pleased with the results. I average about 180 in this house normally. Everywhere else I'm in the 190's. Began standing 20, shooting 13 at the arrows with a little tight 3board swing. Unbelievably, I stayed there all nite. Ball was very consistent..very smooth and very predictable. Nothing like what I'd practiced with! Ended up shooting my first 600 series of the year in this house!! 200-222-183. Man...am I impressed. Usually I use 3-4 balls a nite in this house. Not last nite. Great job and great ball Azo. Now if I could only get my Fatman to move like this!! (Oil was liter side of medium, down  to about 38 or 39 ft.)
Roll-on....Rollers!!

Absolutely the MOST FLARING ball I've ever thrown.

Out of the box was just waaaaay too much ball.. I know from
what I've seen out of this ball that it can be a great tournament
ball.

Drilled 3x5 (arc)

I polished it up to see what it can do on the THS I bowl on and
it opened up a whole new world. It's a shame this ball will never
be made again but this ball has replaced my El Nino X-It BARNONE.

I can stay under the ball or come through it and not lose any reaction
nor does it ever roll out.

I've thrown high flaring balls before (Assault, Pearl Assault, Thunder)
and this one out does them all.

Wherever there is med heavy to heavy oil this ball comes out.

As far as the layout it came with 4oz of tw and a 3 1/2" pin. Just
barely legal on the pos. side and since it flares sooooo much I've
decided that I like the reaction just as is that I'm not gonna worry
about taking any weight out.

Mini-Review: See review below from 2/3/05

Used this ball in a tournament in Canada recently. This ball never leaves my bag anymore. By that, I mean it goes with me everywhere I travel...especially tournaments! Conditions at this tourny were medium-heavy oil which I rarely see. Since this is now my benchmark ball, I used in practice to read the midlane and get a feel for the optimum shot. This shot was tough, but not nearly as tough as the ABC tourny. Anyway, started with a 157 game, followed by 254, 220, 237, 200, 248. Normally I play a big swing shot, standing 20, out to 18 at the arrows, bellying at 7 or 8 at the breakpoint. With this much oil, had to tighten my line, shooting 13 at the arrows, bellying ever so slightly at 10, at the breakpoint.

The funny thing was.....that the down and in shot at ten was not there! Everyone who tried it, ended up hitting the 6 pin on the right side.

I was extremely impressed with the consistent roll and hit of this ball! I was carrying easily while many others were struggling mightily. Was able to use it all night long. Only made one inside, 2 board move after my 200 game, and whammo.....right back in the pocket!

This ball is a sleeper.......as probably all the Lanemasters balls are. Do yourself a favor and pick one up. You'll probably never get rid of it! Ball is extremely tuneable too. This IS ALWAYS the first ball out of my bag!
Great job AZO/LaneMasters! Can't wait to sample one of your newer editions.
