I have had this ball for 3-4 months now. I have only used it in tournaments, since my THS shots in all my houses don't put out enuff oil for me to sustain play with this baby.
15Lb-er
Pin under ring finger, mass bias swung right of CL about two inches
Small X-hole on pap, about .5" diameter
I used this ball all weekend in a local tournament. I generally only use it on med-hvy, and hvy oil. It is the ultimate "sleeper" ball.
During warm-ups I used my Horizon Solid to test the oil volume. HZ Solid is my benchmark ball. When It slid past my breakpoint and struggled mightily to hit the pocket, I immediately went to the Pure.
Everyone on our pair struggled to hit the pocket, even a guy using a VG. The only person who got to the pocket as easily as my Pure was a guy with a Reign of Fire.
I played 13 out to 9 and just destroyed the hole consistently. With most of the pair pointing the ball and playing a tight line, I moved out to 9, ripped up the back of the ball, and just watched it walk to the hole and wreak havok!
I love this ball for it's consistent movement, consistent hit, and it's resounding boom when it hits the pocket flush! It moves in a strong arc.
This was the first time that I attempted to use this ball on both light oil and heavy oil, and I have to say, the ball came thru with a resounding A+.
It will let you know when it's time to put it up. It does need oil to do it's thing, but overall, I now have to get another one to complement this one.
Probably get it drilled with a higher pin for more length.
Funny thing....when this ball started checking up due to not enuff oil, I balled down to my Nomad Solid, which I consider one of my stronger pieces! This really surprised me.
You can't go wrong with this ball. Pure Tactics is smooth, pure power!
