I am thinking about switching over from Dexter SST-7's to Etonic Stabilite Plus's.  I just seem to not be able to get enough stopping power with my Dexter's.  I use the red #2 ripple heel or the #1 horseshoe heel with the brown #2 sole.  

My question's are:

1) How does the sizing compare to Dexter, I wear a size 11.5 regular in Dexter.

2) I know the heels aren't interchangeable, other than the VHA's, but how sticky are the Etonic heels compared to the Dexter heels?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Astroman,

The Stabilite Plus is a great shoe and is certainly known for it's great fit. The Sole technology is pretty much exactly what you've been using with your Dexters, however, the stock heel may not provide enough grab for you.  The heel was designed to be kind of in the middle of the Matrix - and works for many different styles, however, for someone that likes to stop as much as you do it probably wont be enough.

There are things that we can probably do to help you out and to get you into our shoes.  Please send me an email so that we can discuss.

I have been wearing Etonics for quite a while now and sell a lot of them.  Almost every model I have carried has run about a half size small.  I wear a pair of men's 7 ESL Classic blacks but my feet are actually size 6 1/2.  Great shoes and comfortable.  I work in them at trade shows like Bowl Expo and wear them all day.
