3 ball in-line roller wanted
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:25:26 AM »
What's the best one out there?  If you have one for sale let me know, or I'll look on Ebay or somewhere (Buddies?)

Nothing to compare to, but I have both a 3-baller and 4-baller from Lane #1. I am very pleased with both. The wheels on the 3-baller are very round (almost spherical) and stability while in tow is good. Quality of materials is good...uses a nice heavyweight material. Balls are kept from banging around...molded bottoms and padded dividers. LOTS of storage room in this unit. Unless you are trying to sneak your spinner in, there should be plenty of room for everything you should need and more. I can even slip my video camera tripod in the bag with all of my regular bowling gear.

I have a KR Pro (I think) - it's the one with the bigger wheels, and bigger shoe compartment. I don't put everything into it - I use the 4 ball for that - but the bag is extremely well designed, and really, really sturdy.

Rags you might want to check out the Storm Pro line
It's very sturdy has plenty of storage and has excellent
ball protection. If you want any pictures showing
the features let me know I'll be glad to take a few
pics of mine for you.

Rags,

KR makes many of the bags for the ball mfgs. then have their names slapped on them.

I have a 3-ball Storm Streamline that's very nice.  The ball cups are deep enough that the balls don't really shift when I lift it.  A friend of mine has an Elite (KR? B-wick?) bag and the cups in it are much shallower than the Storm's.  Mine's three years old and has held up very well.  If I had to buy another one, I'd definitely get a Storm.

Rags,
LOTS to choose from on eBay ... here's the link:

http://sporting-goods.search.ebay.com/bowling-ball-bags_3-4-Balls_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR40QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsacatZ71096

BTW, I checked Buddies and Bowling.com; looks as if they are a bit higher than the ones in that eBay link.

I have the KR 3-4 combo bag.  I would avoid it.  IN less than a month one of the zippers fell off and now the handle is messing up on me.  I also would avoid ebonite bags.  I have a 3 ball roller and the zippers on it broke with in 4 months of owning it.  I would probably have to go with a storm 3 ball bag.  Buddy of mine has had one for almost 6 years now and it is in prefect condition.

BTW, I had a STORM Streamline 3 ball roller ... good bag !!! I have the new HAMMER 4 ball in-line roller now with the new metal whells and rubber tires. I HAD the KR Eliminator 4 ball in-line roller, and although it did function quite well, I always thought that the handle design was suspect.

Well, I decided to get the Lane 1 bag.  Could have gone cheaper, but I decided I liked the idea of getting in a little Lane1 advertising when I bowl, other than using the balls.

I forgot to mention that the bags I have are new in the box. I also have a NIB Elite black 3 ball bag same price as the Ebonite.

Nice move Rags!
I went through the same thought process when I bought mine.
Enjoy.
